These fellas hard core.

With that sort of history, is not surprising to see your rig claim the #1 spot.

those benchmarks speak louder than any words (or specs for that matter)

Most impressive yes.

I wonder how many other uber elite rigs like this hiding on the island waiting, just waiting to bump my PC out of the top 10?

lihixxxxxxxxxxxxxx iwmc.

I think a good line condition is still better than a "shitty" ups. Unless you go for a "best" UPS, you could actually be doing your machine a disservice.

Need more research to back up the claim of course.

Yea is rel hardcore history, i have some stories to tell alyuh, about Peltier(TEC) cooling, that my bro dablle in, and bull 2 680i boards, rofl
i was waitin on he to get it right before i try, since he getin pay more dan me :)

and i was tempted to install XP to run d benchmarks yuh know, i does get like 1500 tuh 2000 more in xp :S

But since vista is d future of games i juss stick there, but if enough ppl request it, i go do d XP benches.

I.T. lol, but we rel good at what we do. So we does be all over. Meh bro in cayman right now. i was there last year. headed back soon.

I in trini for now makin ah money.
I not rich eh doh kidnap meh, rofl.

But since I.T. is we feild, we does give our selves d excuse that we need a beast machine for work purposes,
Which is why i gone 8 gigs, fuh work. and i got fedup of 4gigs on vista, so i juss max out meh board and call dat george, since memory get cheap in d advent of DDR3

I guess its third for me.  Shivadee's rig is still top dog in my book (if only he would do the damn benchies).

and Shivadee's rig wont be able to beat mines in HI RES bencmarks, my bro has 2GTs and on the high end, he gets around 8961 vs my 10101. The added memory and power of the GTX comes into play at hi resolutions and AA and AF. so Shivadee's rig wont win in that test, which i consider the pertanent one, since nobody builds a rig with sli to play on low resolutions.

As far as default settings go, id say we'd be about even, unless he gets some uber coolin gand OC his extreme, then he woudl win in the low resolution tests. since his CPU will take it from there.
And when i get my third card, all bets will be off anyways

Forget you, we kidnapping the machine!

lol @ max out ram @ 8gb.

And here I was thinking that my upgrade to 4GB was outlandish.

How is life on Vista 64? Still sluggish with those monster specs?

I've never seen a vista machine "feel" responsive as an XP rig but if any machine could have Vista moving snappily, it'll be yours.

with 4gb and the quad core, vista x64 ran pretty snappy on my rig, just like xp, up until the point, where u start taxin the machine, wil multiple programs.

my normal usage does be like, Maxthon open with about 100 tabbed webpages, some office apps, onenote, a shit load of windows, problaby 1 or 2 vmware, and d other lil stuff dat runs in d background. when i start to jam d machien liek that, 4gigs started sluggin down. and vista memory usage
used to be 80% and over

but 8 gigs fix all that, so machien runin like a breeze no matter what ah do. but when i ready, i go eat that memory with vmware

and when i say we in I.T. i mean anything u coudl think about I.T. wise, we could do. so have to get pay to do it

O, and as far as buyin a 9800gtx goes, id strongly advise against it, since its d end of june nvidia say dey releasin d 9900, so wiat and see what d 9900 series have to offer, becuase knowing nvidia, dey going to juss stop makin drivers for d 9800 series, and juss focus on d 9900, dey does always do that mess. with proper drivers, dese graphics cards will rel perform, but nvidia focusin more on releasing hardware, dan supportin what ppl already have, unfortunately dies how dey make dey money, sucks for us doh

I does get good temparatures on that right too, my cpu and gpu does be idlin at 45 degrees and thing. d gpu dont pass 55 under load. D cpu temps does go up to 76 and thing doh.
i studying to fix that, with a CoolIT Frozen Elite, but price on dat too high right now, so waitin for it to drop. and i Lapped meh Thermalright, using artic silver 5 also.

As far as d case goes, i had a Thermaltake Kandalf LCS before, wasnt too impressed with d performacne of dat liquid rig. so i buy meh parts independant, and build it from scratch.
Anybody interested in d specific parts i use let meh know. So basicaly i take d door off d Kandalf, and destroy it, and make d bay for d rad ontop meh current right.
And i use d Kandalf case for d other beast machine, which runing d q6600 and 8800GT.

d bottom section of d case totaly seal off from d top, so none of dat heat from d HDs and PSU getin into meh airflow.
in addition to d 2 Raptors i have below, i also ahve 2 * 320gb Seagate in they RAID for storage. d heat from dem drives used to bull meh previous case.
dies why i choose this case, to separate d heat from them components.

So my idel case temp does be cool.

I still have to OC meh memory, but i doh see it makin no significant difference in performance.

3DMark06: 17420
Believe In The MESSIAH

Hi all, these are my specs, Ive done all the modifications my self.
The machine passed a 12hour Stability test using OCCT,
so its not one of those shady overclocks juss to acheive good benchmarks

Vista x64 SP1
Intel Cor 2 Duo Q6700  @ 3.2/3.5 GHz (Cooled - Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme)
OCZ Reaper PC2-8500 DDR2 8GB @ 1066MHz
eVGA 780i SLI Motherboard
2 * 8800 GTX (SLI) LIQUID COOLED / Volt Moded / OCed - 650/1000/1460
PC Power & Cooling 750W PSU
2 *  WD 150GB 10,000 RPM Raptor (RAID 0)
X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series Sound Card. (Logitech z5500 Subwoofer)
Antec p182 Mirror Finish Case. (Modified With Liquid Cooling System - Ask if you'll like to know the individual components used.)
Dell 24" LCD Monitor, Logitech Dinovo Edge Keyboard, Logitech MX Revolution Mouse

Im also going to further upgrade my system in the coming month, Ill be adding the following.
1 More 8800GTX (For 3-way SLI), and PC Power & Cooling 1200W or Corsiar 1000W PSU, havent decided yet

On hi-end rigs, MAXed settings in 3DMark06 tells a totaly different story, as the results are based more on the GPUs than CPU.
As you'll see below, the CPU OC had little effect on the scores when 3DMark06 was @ 19200*1200 Everything MAXed.
I dare anyone to get close to 10k 3DMarks06 with everything maxed.

O BTW, the lot of pictures are for those that dont believe....Trust In The MESSIAH

---------------------------3DMark06 Scores---------------------------

3DMark06: 17420 @ 3.5GHz

3DMark06: (MAX) 10046 @ 3.2GHz

3DMark06: (MAX) 10143 @ 3.5GHz

---------------------------Pictures Of RIG---------------------------

yawn. Going 3 way myself too. 9800 GTX 512x 3. 2 more GB of same ram installed at the beginning of the month. Hope u have a 47 inch to run Crysis on like me too. Bechmarks are of absolutely no interest to me whatsoever. I look at the recommended requirements of the high end game, then double it. And i game with that.
Using a Tarantulla KB and just bought a Copperhead mouse today actually. (with 2000 Wii points :P)

I upgrade my graphics cards every 4 months. So i dont care
My PC upgrades totally every 2 years, or year depending on how i feel.
The reason for the expendature is
1. i can afford it
2. I dont PC game unless i can play it the "way its meant to be played"

This is my career, i dont do this for "fun"

end of story.

Falcon calls me every month with new deals. Speak to someone, they recommend upgrades, i decide if i want it or not. so meh. They do everything, so i can do what i have to.

well if shiv wont take anyone on, he doesnt deserve the number1 spot, when i posted my 3dmark scores, you guys wanted proof, and i have to earn my keep to even be on the list.

if shiv cant take anyone on, den remove his name from the tread

and my motivation, is to run any game i play, at max resolution, and max settings.
there are few games these days, that coudl really imerse ppl in a rel nice expereince.
and i dont want to waste these far and inbetween exepreinces, playing the games on average graphics.

--------

I took my time and organised my benches, and pics of my pc and what not to prove my scores.
Shive claims to have an Intel Extreme cpu, with no benches to back it up, and he's placed as number one :S

Yawns

Same reason for me.

You're provocation means little to me. The experience is a fraction of why i do this. I game with pen and paper writing down things i notice in gameplay.
Never wanted to be on any list anyway. i dont build a system for anyone but me, And no one comes to my apartment for me to "showoff" what i have anyway, because i dont care.

Grats on a sweet system tho. Nice rig.

Funny thing is I find Crysis is garbage, the game engine too :P Been fiddling with it and UT3 game engine this week.

U want a real framerate check. Drop in Shattrath in WoW and watch framerate drop. With 200+ ppl running around the city and max res, even if its an old game, your PC framerate will drop.
Im using a 12MB connection, dont think its that. with an 87 ping

Yes crysis is mess, Quad SLI cant even run d game max. so i not lookin foward to playing crysis anyway.

And i dont realy be on d forums, a friend begged me to post my rig :)

and im a true gamer, i appriciate my parts and d work that gets put into it. i dont juss fling money behind things dat dont make sense.
like an extreme cpu }-} , d price of that chip, u coudl get quad sli, which makes a much bigger impact on game performance.

Some of us gaming for a long time. For me its over 24 years. 3 degrees later and being a designer/manager its my business to stay high end. So i dont have a choice. It is what it is. I love it anyway. Could talk game theory till i dead, and then some.

They oc'd the processor and used a thermaltake cooling system or something. I dont know (or care) once it works, tech isnt what i care about, its design. Falcon handles everything, come to your house an thing and install and whatever if anything. Get a free juzzy and cyap and a BIG bag of Coffee LOL.

Not just gaming tho. i do allot of Rendering in 3DS MAx, Maya and use game engines Crytek, UT3 and UT2 engines.

Were actually making a UT3 map for the game, hopefully if the teacher dont do crap, it go finish in time. This man only interested in card based games, hes a big Magic the gathering fan. Which cool, but it dont mean sh!t comming with UT3 in mind.

Designing a Glass instance. Basically a room u can see enemies thru the glass but its refraction bends the light so you dont see them properly, only when they are in the same room with  you. We go see what he say :P i always shoot far when im doing a project.
