Folder Lock to password protect your files
« on: April 15, 2008, 08:40:35 AM »
Thought this might come in handy for those of you who have alot of boldface ppl that like to dig up in yuh pc when you're not nearby.

You just select what folder you want to have the password cover and *poof* it's no longer available to everyone

This may also come in handy if you have a shared pc without any accounts but wanna keep your folders private.

This one sounds good.

I wonder what percentage of files hiding behind these locks are strictly pictures and video?
*wink wink*

Just use truecrypt. It's Free, has ridiculous encryption/password protection and won't even be visible unless it's mounted. It can encrypt your ENTIRE HD even so that should the PC/Laptop be stolen they can't even BOOT or read it as a slave drive in another machine cause the OS and everything is all encrypted and won't be readable without the password or keyfile.

Will check that one out W1.

Jd this program when  you *lock folders etc with it, nobody can do anything to it unless they unlock it. So yes it prevents ppl from deleting your files unless they know the password.
