pity that when Microsoft was developing XP they thought that 'who would need so much RAM' and as such x86 wouldn't recognise any more than 3.xGBs installed
nah i think this is a limitation of the majority of 32 bit OSs. a 32 bit linux kernel may need some tweaking to recognise more than the 3.x GB ( using some sort of paging scheme... )

i suppose they thought that by the time people could afford 3gb, we'd all be onto 64 bit OSs..
but there jsut haven't been any killer 64 bit apps for the desktop...
boy same here, i see ah 2x2GB ah ram for the same price i pay for my 2x1Gb about ah 2 mths ago...same KVR and everything...
same here too!! i paid the same price for my existing 2 gb kit as well, and is the same KVR too! lol. i dunno dred.. i would really love to see all my four slots maxed out with them pink heat spreaders
