Ok I am using it now to send this message, will do a clean install of Windows XP today.

Price: $2,500

It is a HP zv5240ca
Pentium 4 , 3.0 GHZ
640 MB Ram
Wifi,Radeon 9000
DVDrom/Cd writer

Lost the installation dvds so installing a copied version of XP professional.

The machine works fine no freezing etc. Two things the battery no longer charges it can be changed and also the right fan is noisy.

Got the machine new while I was in Canada in 2004 at school, don't use it as I finished back in 05 and hardly used it.

iam looking for a cheap laptop for school...

didnt want a slow a$$ one though

besides the battery issue
yu can assure it functions well?
no screen issues? no over heating and blue screening constantly? (famous hp problem, or rather infamous problem)

also, have a bag?

I don't have a bag for it as I gave it to a friend at school.

The laptop is running fine, I am using it now to post this. Only thing is the battery need to change and well the right fan is noisy.

elaborate on the Fan volume, is it jet engine loud, cd drive loud. If i was watching a movie would i be hearing it?

Yeah it is loud, definitely would hear it durin a movie, so may have to change it
