Well I called them this morning and they switched me over to 2Mbps. Strangely enough on TSTT bandwidth meter im reading over 2Mbps and on other testing sites im reading under 1Mbps but still getting over 200 KBps with torrents. I don't know whats going on there but I guess its the d/l speed that matters.

well today (divali) tstt called my cell phone, asking if i would like to upgrade to the blink broadband service. mind you, i'm in phase 2, but i have a friend in the same area that has the 2mb connection, so i guess they have reached SOME of phase 2. anyway, i told him that my dsl service has not been working properly for almost 3 months now(he verified numerous tickets on our 1,256,793 reports from since sept). also, they were supposed to come and replace my modem since then. i been struggling with this 5mins of internet, 5mins of none for so long now, that i went and signed up with flow. when i told the tech. that, he sounded sooooo disappointed eh. i felt like i did him an injustice :) thais a hard luck scene there. he wanted to come up "now" and work on the problem and bring with him my new modem. but it was too late....i'll be on flow next week. too bad, blink was actually lookin good when the initial promotions came out....

I feel that TSTT has upgraded a lot of areas around Trinidad as I confirmed when I called in.  I plainly asked the CSR if they upgraded the Arima area she hesitated to say yes but later one she confirmed(sweet talk does work) most likely they are just working out bugs before they officially announce the area.

The problem with TSTT is that they are upgrading areas which cause current DSL lines to go crazy, as many people on GATT here have noticed, for the longest while my net used to drop 2-3 times every hour for about 10=15 mins(especially when I am in the middle of BF2 and flying one of my squadmates in a Heli) it is getting better only about 1-2 times a day and instead of getting a 700 ping when I try to play BF2 am getting the amount I used to when it was running perfectly, she told me I should wait about 8 weeks.

Does the time you apply affect when you get through??
I dont mind if it takes a month most likely TSTT is going to have a special where you dont have to pay for activation and the modem.

i want something faster than this portable dial-up i have here,
on the site they say you could switch over your current existing HSIA (i assuming that mean high speed internet access, cause they creative like that) contracts to the new blink, anyone know for certain if that include they evdo service as well?

I'm sure the actual ADSL2 hardware is installed almost everywhere , the 'upgrade' is just  software.

Arima and most of Tdad that already has DSL will be on blink by january-february.. though i'm still waiting for Flow.

Hey for those guys who have the 2mb or 1mb connection can you do me a favor?
I'd like to see what the drop in ping will be once I get my service. So can you ping these IPs:

67.19.248.74
216.41.213.2
66.151.138.213

If you do not know how to see pings its simple. Open run and type cmd or command then type "ping x.x.x.x" (x = address).
Please report back the numbers where it says "time>150ms" (150 being an example of ping).
Thanks!
I really appreciate it guys!
