OK after one of our mods did the brave thing and broached the question of whether or not we should allow this.
Iam taking the initiative.

Iam creating our Official UNOFFICAL Election voting POLL
so place your votes
no need for comments and most importantly, NO POLITICAL FLAMING ALLOWED HERE!

i set the poll so that the results can only be seen after yu have voted, hope this encourages a wide cross section of our populace to vote.

IMPORTANT POINT HERE
IF YU DO NOT WANT OTHERS TO KNOW WHAT YUR POLITICAL AFFILIATION IS BUT WANT TO PARTICIPATE
THEN SIMPLY VOTE BUT DO NOT MAKE ANY COMMENT!! THAT IS ALL

Same opinion here until I heard a couple of days ago that one of COP's financiers is the one who made this statement some years ago: "I'll disown my daughter if she marries [MOD EDIT] N*GGAH [/MOD EDIT] man!"

PNM... strikes me as a party that doesn't know new tricks, were in power once, had an oil boom, built alot (none sustaining) and seem to be repeating history (which would mean, new party and a coup to follow....) I think the head and a few older heads should roll from this party but that's just me.

UNC... Misguided or in the least misguiding... they seem as someone pointed out to be focused on removing the PNM, but I can't see what they are thinking about for the actual future...like this morning I heard the 'White haired one' say they'll remove license fee... and introduce a small tax... I not sure how or why they NEED this soo badly that it has to be publically announced to 'fanfare' but this party also strikes me as a party in need of shaving of management mainly at the top... we need new thinking here...

COP... do you vote for the devils you know, or the devil you don't know? sadly my belief is that PNM will win again, however my vote goes to COP as the alternatives imho have leaders that have lost their F&*(ing MARBLES... to expand on that:

The 'Emperor for Life' started beliving his own BS a LONG time ago which is dangerous...

It strikes me that the choices we have, each party is more pre-occupied with trying to stay in power as opposed to doing what's best for the county. Sadly in a sense my choice is cause I rather try something even a LITTLE different than to support parties that clearly have their priorities in winning an election rather than bettering the country in the LONG run.

Basically. I can't vote. The PNM needs to be removed because the PNM in terms of social development and to a lesser extent economic development is engaging in stark mismanagement. I rather you be corrupt than inept but it look at that...PNM has a ample amount of both. However, I cannot support filling that void with the COP or the UNCA.

I initially considered the possibility for change via the COP but I'm beginning to see the members in the party, who, although they do not make up the leadership...should never be allowed near ministerial positions for god's sake. I'm almost angry that Winston Dookeran and Gillian Lucky have to be affiliated with some of these unsavoury characters. I can't vote for UNCA because the change of the UNCA is only cosmetic in terms of marginal seats and has retained it's same archaic leadership...and those other party's who have joined the UNC in the hope of eliminating the PNM are going to suffer the same fate NAR suffered in the mid 90's.

And the very idea of supporting any party with the trifecta of political dishonesty, deception, devilry (Mr Panday, Mr Warner and Mr Lawrence-Maharaj, the latter two of which have blasted Mr Panday from here to eternity about his lack of character and integrity and how he and the UNC is so corrupt and is ineffectual leadership blah-dee-effin-blah but are now so damned eager to gleefully ally themselves with him. They are all, without exception, power hungry swine and opportunists.) is so obscene to me that my body simply couldn't allow me to do it.

And on TOP of all of that. They all have essentially the same political ideologies. Send some more socialism my way and then we'll talk.

THey have been constantly delayed and put off for close to 2 yrs now...with no word on when the house will start building...

They are pissed off at the whole NHA government program and totally hate the PNM government...

They wish to vote for another party...

But yet they are obligated to vote for the PNM...Because their house may be at risk....

What you guys think of this scenario?

If it was really a case of "vote for me I'll help get you a house easy", I'd have applied for a house years ago.
