Just a quick question about online pc gamming.
what are the requirements for "ah bess" online expierence?.
im a total noob when it comes to this.what type of games can be played over the internet?
most important what internet speed is required.Im a AOE 3 fan

well having a good pc is your first step

when your playing online though, you wont wanna have your graphics settings ridiculously high, to ensure lag. A "good" net connection for new fps would be atleast 256k dsl.
Rts and games like dota you can get away with GOOD dial up. but of course again, you want atleast 256k dsl (or flow, i not biggin up tstt in anyway).

DOnt even bother to inflict torture onto others by hosting games on dial up AND a pull stones pc please.... PLEASE!!

for a truly BESSS online gaming experience, get yourself atleast a 2meg broadband connection, have a none pullstones pc, aka, good processor, atleast 2 gigs of ram, good grafphexsz card
oh and please learn a little something about networking, so when you need to open ports, you dont sound like a complete 2 year old bajan.

Go for a dual core processor, anything 2.4ghz and above. (E6850, E8400, athlon 64 6000+, athlon 64 x2 5000+ etc...)

RAM, 2GB and up.

Blink or Flow. Definitely bess experience there. Regular 256k dsl will work but it won't be "bess", especially if you have any other apps "sipping" on your net connection in the background.

Video Card (muy importante)
The peoples choice at the moment is the 8800GT. a BESS card. If you're short of dough, a 9600GT or 8600GT, but really, wash some cars and go for the 8800GT if you want gaming nirvana.

For everything else, there's mastercard.
