lol arcman is not a new game i agree. but if i gettin sf4 sold for a decent price then i doh mind buyin ssf4 , ah mean after all capcom did say it wouldnt be a "full" priced game. how true that is we will have to wait and see.....after all this IS capcom who sold ppl RE5 "dlc" which was already on the disc

I guess 'who the cap fits' would apply here.  I'm not THAT much of a fighting game fan to care anyway.
SF4 in itself is a great leap forward, but I won't be 'conned' into buying one every year.

You speak of possible download sizes.  We regularly download demos on our very same consoles
that are upwards of 1.5GB in many cases, so I don't really see a problem there.  Look at GTA4.
the episodic DLC content alone could have been a brand new game, so it CAN be done.

This is all moot anyway because like Capcom done already bamboozle allyuh head.


I'm getting steadily more jaded each day when game companies try to willfully
milk their customers with an existing franchise when its clearly evident that they can do better.

Since this thread have very little info on the new game here's whats known so far.

Modes

Team Battle Modes - 2v2,3v3,4v4
Replay Channel -View replays of matches while voice chatting with other players
Endless Battle Mode - up to 8 players with voice chat support ala SSF2T HD Remix
Bonus Stages - Car and Barrels stage
New Challenge Mode





Network Changes

- Can use Fight Request while you wait for all members of a team battle.
- For a private team match, the host can divide up the teams. Otherwise, it's done automatically.
- Auto team placement uses Player Points as well as some randomness.
- Voice chat available while watching a match.
- Endless Battle has no effect on Battle Points/Player Points.
- In Ranked, Battle Points is divided up into BP/PP - PP will be your overall score, while BP will be character specific.
- In Ranked, you can upload a replay after 3 straight wins.
- Blind character select for all network modes, including no cursor motion sound.
- Preset comments available for entering a lobby.

Gameplay
- New ultras and possible new supers (Shin Shoryuken is seen in an image above)
- Something called Tadan Saving (saving was the japanese name for focus attack)
- S-Kill has said that all characters are being buffed.

Rumors

Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball).
Ibuki has a run command.
Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo.
Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras.
Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony.
Guy has his Chain combos.
Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4.
Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose.

Characters - This list was posted a few weeks before the game was announced.

- Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Adon, Cody and Guy.
- The new characters are rumored to be: Hakan (Arabic Grappler) & Juri (Works for Sin)

The development team posts updates every week on their blog complete with Q&A/insight on the game and changes they have been making.

Don't expect the PC version for at least a year. Console Version is sometime around March-April.

Capcom's Christian Svensson said the roster for Super Street Fighter 4 was locked in early when they were working on the game, so there won't be a character poll this time around, but an announcement concerning the new fighters will be made 'soonish'

Sven: To set expectations the game is rather far along and one of the FIRST things we did was sort out what the roster would be. While the gameplay is really good, the whole package made me want to sell it the first week. Capcom shouldn't have bothered putting movies for the characters; the animation is the poorest (obviously they hired some children to do those movies), so is the direction and script....totally senseless compared to other Street Fighters.
I find that most of the combos are hard to get in that training mode, but that is good because it makes it close to Street Fighter II. I've seen some crazy stuff in the arcades that I never knew could be done. But guess the game doesn't fit me.
After seeing Juri and hearing about other probable characters, and most importantly a new game so quickly makes it unfair. But I guess that a gaming console was not meant for someone who has got his priorities reversed.

Guy, Cody & Adon confirmed via Famitsu. In one of the screenshots Guy is seen doing some kind of focus attack on a kunai, which probably confirms Ibuki as well.

Looks like some of your prayers has been answered. I did not care much for the three new characters that Capcom announced. But GUY and CODY?? These guys are my homies so i'll be keeping an eye out on this one.
