From Japan: Daigo Umehara (Ryu) and Iyo (Dhalsim).
From Korea: Poongko (Ryu).
From America: Justin Wong (Rufus).

    * Iyo (Dhalsim) defeats Poongko (Ryu) in the first match, 4-2 in the best of 7.
    * Daigo (Ryu) defeats Poongko (Ryu) in the second match, 4-1 in the best of 7.
    * Justin Wong (Rufus) defeated Poongko (Ryu) in the third match, 4-3 in the best of 7. (Crowd chanted "USA! USA! USA!" after the match).

only game i got any kinda serious lag in was socom wen it now come out which has been fixed now
KZ2 no lag wen i hosting 4v4 - 8v8 (apprentice try to host tooo many ppl das why we got lag) an d 32 player user created servers also i experience no lag , SF4 no lag, R2 never even with 60 players, warhawk none full 32,

Gears2 lag & slow ass matchmaking (last time i checked)
Halo 3 lag on occasions since it depends on the HOST (according to d ppl on d MLG forums) is that wat u "paid" for?

Well, I'm just telling you what I have experienced so far.  Xbox Live online play has been easier to set up and maintain than PSN,
and nothing is wrong with my connection.

Microsoft's implementation of an online gaming service is superior.  To deny this is to fool yourself.
Sony should admit there are shortcomings with their version and 'adjust' it to suit.

...and these are my opinions eh.  Try not to take it personally.

I'm not just blowing smoke. I own both systems, so I can sit back and take an objective view of both services,
so my opinion after having used both, is that M$ Xbox Live is better.

Your mileage may vary of course.

Blizzcon handed out 200 grand in cash to the Starcraft winner last year. They are pro gamers. This is their job.

Street Fighter players don't get anywhere near that, the biggest payout I've seen was 5K US plus in Japan it is supposedly illegal to have cash prizes for tournaments, so most tournaments have no prizes.

For fighting game players it's all about pride.

(except Wong, he'd follow a money on a string for miles, Ultima could probably attest to that)

Let me just say lag is more a product of your internet service than the ps3/xbox network itself.

Personally, I've had horrible lag while using the PS3 on blink vs gamers on flow and international. Blink to Blink was completely lag free. smooth as butter.

Now that I've put the PS3 on Flow, it works great against other flow gamers and international.

So again, the playstation network itself isn't "laggy", the internet service has everything to do with that.


Like Arc says, ain't nothing wrong in Sony realizing the pros of the Microsoft service and stepping up their game to suit. That would be welcome.

Can't beat the fact that the PS3's online play is free.

Not to mention, the systems are much sturdier than the xbox. Failure rate is much lower (by local retailer recounts) as well as easier to repair (lens replacement) if they do fail.

The reality is that people have very diverse opinions on the various systems. We can only candy coat so far before reaching the core of the issue.

Hushing up everyone who says the PSN network is botched under the guise of them being a ms fanboy is one approach.

Another, is to give them a place to make their statement and have it recanted. A system wars forum.

If you're not into such heated debate, you can simply not visit that forum yourself.

Yeah i agree. That way they have no excuse to post their unintelligent and trite comments in other threads. I don't think discussion is necessary still because there is no war and you can't ever reach the core of issue or a compromise with these discussions. You buy what you wanna, you play what you wanna play for you own reasons, why they can't keep it to themselves. This has been researched and discussed all over the internet.

For the 360 owners, Justin Wong has this thing going where he will play you first to 5 wins for 20USD. He will then give an assessment of your performance ie strengths weaknesses and tips.
