So I upgraded my CPU to a Q6600. *grins*
g0 stepping seems to give the best OC performance... but short of calling the seller and asking for it, it go be hard to acquire.and steups at getting exact same HSF as me.... at least get the Ultima 90!!

Yeah, I did some research and found this out. Apparently the G0 revision has a 95 Watt power envelope, whereas the B3 is setat 105 Watts. So now I understand Prowl's insistence on the G0. It doesn't make much difference to me as I have a very capablePSU, and I do not plan on running my system OC'ed all the time. That said though.....*Goes to Amazon to order a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme with Thermaltake 120 mm smart case fan*
So I got my new HSF (the Thermalright) and installed it (with 2 x 120 mm fans in 'push-pull'), and was utterly dismayed when I found that my idle and load temps were actually HIGHER than what I was getting with the Zalman HSF. HUH!!? Of course it was off to the internets to find out WTF was really happening, and became even MORE dismayed to learn that some of the Ultra-120 Extremescome with a not-so-flat base (where the HSF makes contact with the CPU heatspreader). This HSF is a NIGHTMARE to install, so you can imagine my frustration in removing it.Each time you interfere with this HSF, you are required to completely remove the motherboard. Not cool.I cleaned the base and set it on a flat glass surface, and sure enough, I could actuallyrock the bleddy thing back and forth a little. So at least I confirmed what I read online. Its a good thing I had the Zalman to fall back on, because now I need to have the base of this HSF machined to a perfectly flat and mirror-smooth finish...like the Zalman.Does anyone know where I can get this done...and the price?
