Martyrdom? yeah dat one dread too, but it not that difficult to fling the grenade one side. same thing with this as well, if a man decide to make your dead body swiss cheese, last stand not that great. I just love those two cuz of the annoyance factor. BTW, anyone know if the barrett have a silencer?

Honestly those are the two noobiest perks in the game. Why would you take a perk which happens when you die? Unless you are expecting to die alot.

just for the annoyance really. and I suppose they're unlocked so early for just that reason right? that inexperienced players have a lil chance to do something lol. I'll take your word for them being the 'noobiest' perks, as I haven't played enough to get too much on my own profile.

They arent that nooby, if you dead to it YOU NOOBY..... :awesome:

Finally managed to do the challenge of killing to people while im falling through the air...was nuts.

One perk I wish they would include would be the ability to carry two pistols and dual wield....and slap chuck norris on your back.  :cowboy:

lol @ 'noobiest'.  That perk is the reason there is no 'tea-bagging' in that game.
You get the kill, and you move on....QUICKLY, or you die.  Its that simple.

On small maps with lots physical choke points, Martyrdom is a great way to up your kill-count.
Combine it with the Sonic Boom perk, and you can ensure that if someone kills you at close range
you have a chance to kill em right back.  EVERY single opponent that has knifed me in the back
has died thus far using it.

You just have to know how and when, and in which game mode to use it.

Hmm sounds noobish don't you think?(I can't kill someone so I have some cheap mechanic to do so when I die), I never die to matyrdom grenades unless they drop off someone I didn't see i.e someone else killed him. If I kill that person I won't die to the nade. I just cannot see taking a perk for when i die.... they only time it will be useful is if i was getting pwned left and right.

BTW what servers do you guys play on?

@RB lag is around 120-200 latency. I normally around 145ish

Dude, whatever.  That 'noobiest' argument you keep hiding behind becomes reather obsolete when you consider the fact
that you don't unlock said perk till you reach Level 17 (which is far from a 'noobiest' rank, in my opinion).  If you don't like it, then that's your problem.

The ones bitching about it the most tend to be the ones getting bloweddafucup the most by it.  Just grow a pair and run faster.
Or use the 'Asbestos Suit' perk ...

I am experimenting with running a local COD4 server.  After reading a few tutorials I was able
to get one running that a pardner in south could connect to.  I would like you all to try and connect to it.
I'll leave it running for the day on my main rig.

The Ip address is 201.238.102.236, and the password is 'arcman00'.

Let me know if you can connect, and your average ping times.

No...acquired versions will not work.

Server was given a proper run tonite, and a good time was had by all. :happy0203:
Men was even levelling up and all.

We need more people.  Its a 32-slot server...COME ON GATTers.

Since I am running it on a 'normal' PC at my home, I can't leave it on
24/7, as that PC also serves as my 'download server', but I'll try to
run it as much as possible from 8pm to 12 midnight on weekdays,
and 6pm to 12 midnight on weekends (TSTT and TTEC permitting).
