The last scene is a reference to the 'Yutani' half of the Weyland/Yutani Corporation in the Alien movies.
That scene is an attempt to officially tie the Alien and Predator universes together for future sequels. [speculation]

I liked it more than AVP

They TOTALLY copied of stuff from Aliens

The whole scene when they were in the armored car just like in the APC in Aliens

The whole scene with the National Guard getting pwned was just like the Marines gettin killed.....down to the man that in the APC eh knowing wtf going on just like Gorman...and the gunfire and Aliens bawling over the radio.....SAME SAME SAME

Even the way the whole hot blonde ded was just like Newt trying to lead the way and she busy not takin them on that she fall and get takeup by an Alien....except this time blonde hotness get NAIL to the mc wall..

the whole tieup in the aliens hive and chestburst (but that in Resurection too).

But yea man the second half of the movie WELL make up for the beginning.

Alyuh men hadda be dumb as post if you expected a story of any kind in this. Its the typical corporation trying to take over the world and harvest the aliens at the end

Want an REAL Aliens story read the ALIENS : Earth Hive series.....3 books. only 9US each....get it if you want story.

Movie ends essentially with the beginning of The Company.

they can colonize nearly any kind of planet as well.....they bad no ass.

H R Geiger was the designer of the Aliens. A modern contemporary artist (doing a course in that sh!t now)
He received the award in 1980 for the design of the ALiens costume......the painting was done wayyyyy before the Warhammer series.
But Starcraft is a straight up pull from the Aliens series and they pay homage to it.
there are SEVERAL mentions of the Marine ling and attitude very comparable to the movies.

the original Warhammer is pretty DAMN close in comparison to release date....but the 40k series didnt come out till after the second Aliens movie.

I love the zerg. about 10 years ago when i was actually...kinda good...LOL....in SC Zerg were who i played.....serious offense...meaning you HAD to win. Losing was not an option.

The blizzard guys said the zergs were based on works in the warhammer universe.
namely the tyranids.

The tyranids themselves, being first mentioned in 1986, could have been an uptake from the Alien movie. Can't find anything on the net to confirm that but it is quite possible.

Very natural for scifi and fantasy artisans to borrow from each others work and build upon it. Giving us so many flavours of vampires, elves, orks, xenomorph, etc...

Unfortunately, they're not as open about their pilfering, lol. Leaving much to speculation.

Yea he musta be some kinda badass....frome the arcade Aliens v Predator there were 2 kinds of predators.....cant remember what they were.
But he is definitely more thorough than the others. I feel he was like the "cleaner" for the Predators...man "bluing" out every mc evidence of aliens everywhere. He couldnt give a sh!t bout humans, because them is not his priority.
So evidently the Predator had to be a level badass. Them Predators know about the Aliens, for centuries they fighting him

I figured, if they knew that the predalien was a young queen and could reproduce, they may have sent in more reinforcements.

and for those into the scifi history banter, I just read that starship troopers may have been the forefather to them all, being released in 1959 and itself having a strong resemblance to a lot of the modern scifi works in question. The alien movie admittedly borrowed from it's lore.

I guess its safe to assume the one who was 'on-call' (Wolf?) was one of the older and more experienced Hunters.
The younger Warriors would have been the three who went into the pyramid in the first AvP.
