Thank you all for your feedback through this forum. We treat critique very seriously and we will very shortly be offering a brand new range of advanced Broadband services to the market. Please note that TSTT will be launching the following pricing within about month's time:

256k Unlimited - $149
512k Unlimited - $229
1MB Unlimited - $349

Bear in mind that the above packages are all UNLIMITED. Not to be confused with the competition's 20 hour and 50 hour 1MB packages where you have to pay $1 for each additional minute over your allotted time. With TSTT Broadband service, you can remain online for as long as you like and pay one flat monthly rate - no hidden fees. We will also be providing higher bandwidth packages, with consistent speeds over 8MB, etc.

We are currently deploying advanced networks capable of true quad-play service, so products like IP-TV, VoIP, Content Services, Gaming-on-Demand, etc., will be possible shortly. In addition, we will soon be offering support services from a new state-of-the-art Technical Helpdesk. We will also be offering a choice of modems, including wireless (wi-fi) models which negate the need to purchase a seperate wireless router. Now you will have the benefit of an ADSL modem and a Wireless Router in one simple device!

seeing as how tstt has dsl in more places than flow has their cable internet, they moving smart until they actually forced to truely compete when flow has more coverage, that 1mbit seems like is jes to tell their present customers to haul dey mc take some more bw in the meantime.

I agree with rb. Personally, I don't mind taking the 1meg from TSTT @ that price. Saves me from having to go through the drama of actually changing ISP's. Still don't even know whats the word on consistency of Flow's service.

Well since flow doesn't even have digital cable south of Chagaunas, I really don't have any options at my disposal. Also considering FLOW will NOT reach south till at least next year... 1Mb here I come I guess... *sighs* and here I was hoping for a 4Mbps link,., ah well..

Ok so this is rolling out in about a month sooo I'm calling that two months but all I want to know is....If im already paying the 1MB price and under contract with TSTT do I get an upgrade automaticaly from 256K to 1MB  ??

I figured they'd start with a "small" upgrade and then once the teething issues are sorted out, they'll most likely start a battle with Flow

Don't any of you find it just a little suspicious that the "uber-ISP" TSTT would use an online forum to disclose such information (and one dedicated to ponging TSTT for that matter)? Why not use their own website?

I hope it's all true but until I see an official press release or find it on TSTT's website, I am  taking this news with a grain of salt.

this is OK news. the 1mb package is more or less what all of us will be going for hopefully, as was said, we'll get more speed in the near future. i almost jumped ship, but this may keep me around a bit longer......

Flow doesn't have anything south of Caroni, Chaguanas no where near their target area for the coming months  according to one person I know inside.

you know.. prior to last week, TSTT bringing 1 mbit for under $400 would have had men making pilgrimages to the shrine of TSTT, offering their first born  and their right n*t...


but after seein what FLOW is doing RIGHT NOW.. that 1 mbit just .... jsut weak.. lol


sigh..   but as someone said, better take the 1 mbit and avoid the hassle of changing ISPs...

and also, from what i remember about cable, doesn;'t the connection get ishy when more people on your street come on?

Yeah that question's been asked before. WE'll just have to wait for more info to come out of TSTT, which, knowing them would take a while.

We've been getting this 'upgrade' dog-and-pony-show for so long that most of us are

I'd take the TSTT-BB word over all else right now, until the announcement comes, but until then we know what to expect. My friend who works at TSTT mentioned something about Independance Day and some big marketing ploy for that day..take that with a grain of salt...

Obviously TSTT would make arrangements for present DSL customers to switch over to the new packages, I'm hoping for a 2mbit package around 450 for the time being.
