My forum trolling has paid off.
I have FINALLY found the GOSU voltages to push past 3.5 Ghz to 3.8...
Internets be praised.
What is surprising is that I was able to push the Corsair XMS3 to 1600 MHz to achieve this result.
I KNEW that the RAM was the keep-back here.
On to 4 GHz perhaps.....?

So what voltages did you end up using? Interesting that you were able to achieve such a high clock. Most places I read they say 195 is max stable. Are you stable at those settings btw?

Well...i was able to reach 3.9 GHz, and do a benchmark.
As for stability...not sure. Linpack will determine that.

LOL.....aw c'mon, don't be like that.
Linpack bitch-slap my 3.9 GHz yes. BSOD after about 5 seconds.
So that definitely not stable, but I not fighting up with that.
I am happy with 3.8 GHz.

Vantage benchies as requested...
Performance
High
Well, as you can see, even at 3.8 GHz this i7 920/X58 rig still outshines the
Q9650/P45 rig
at 4 GHz. Simply amazing.
I wont be giving this one up for a WHILE.

...and just when I done spend mih money, along comes a
newer i7 with a newer stepping
.
Its the same scenario as the Q6600 B3/G0 revisions. The newer D0 stepping runs at a lower default voltage, which immediately translates into better overclocking
capability.
Where the C0 reached 4 GHz with substantial tweaking, the D0 can EXCEED 4.3 GHz. Got-DAMN!!!

Wait nah, is Vista versus Windows 7???
Arc - Vista
Cap - Win7 (beta build 7000)
Arc, what you attribute the extra 119 points to?

The difference might be due to the nice lil OC I put on the GPU(s).
The HD4870X2 is essentially CrossfireX on a stick, and it will always be more efficient
than 2 actual HD4870 cards in CrossfireX, hence the slightly extra winnage.
