Oh sweet stuff.  You did everything that was corrected in subsequent releases of the Antec 900/902, and the 1200.  Did you draw, cut them holes while driving down a bumpy road...lol?

So I guess this means no case upgrade?

lol @ driving down a bumpy road. Trust me, Emperor and Notnice made ample fun of my drawing yesterday, somehow I have a feeling they wont be the last.

But yeah, no case upgrade for me in the forseeable future after this mod. No need.

Upgrade from Velociraptor 300gb to Crucial M4 SSD.

This was bought by Emperor Xavier for his new system. It was supposed to be a loan till he gets his new CPU but i'm afraid he has to go back to the store cuz I reallll not giving THIS up.

Boot time down to 24 seconds (boot, open chrome and load to google) from 42 seconds.

Given that this beast is Sata3 and my board is sata 2, there's still a whole lot of room for improvement.

Before:

After:

Yeah, that's frickin DOUBLE the speed of a 10k rpm server class drive. GG. It shows too. Bad Company and Dirt 3 now pretty much loads instantly.

Epic upgrade!!

Wicked!!!

Faster than even TWO of those 'raptors in RAID-0?  Good GAWD!!!

Do a WEI score index for comparison.  The best my RAID-0 could muster was 6.2.

If only them muhfuggas weren't still so expensive  eh.....  :ko:

Christmas time I'll definitely invest in one though.  Hopefully the prices
will drop some more by then.  I'm seeing that this one dropped from 250 US to 200 US.
Quite a substantial drop.  It needs to come down to about 150 US.  :happy0203:

I have to get another program to measure write speeds because HD Tune requires the drive to be clear to perform write test.

WEI Score

Very cool Cpt, just this week saw a review of that drive with the new 009 firmware. I think I will order one as it seems to have the best price/performance right now.

One bit of advice Cpt don't run too many drive benchmarks as I've heard that some can actually cause a bit of slowdown.

Arc the speed in Raid 0 would be awesome however no TRIM support in RAID as yet.
