Good lord @ hard quad sli setup. Jeezan..

Here's my own humble entry...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Better than my 5850 setup (oc to the max) and cpu @ 3.9ghz. Not bad at all.

awesome, hit us a price performance on this upgrade?

How much $$ you spend for how much percentage increase in performance.

I love it, price vs performance comparison request immc. Sound exactly like what my bosses ask for every day.

Had to pelt out an extra $250tt to make up the rest of the cost after selling the 5850's.

Had I waited, price has now dropped $22 per card, $44us in total.

Based on vantage scores I gained exactly 20% performance increase on the previous setup.

Not to mention the chief reason for the switch was Xfire problems galore. No issues incountered yet with SLI setup and IQ is through the roof.

Only thing that would make it better is if I had saved that extra $44us.

Even before price cuts, these 460's are absolutely the best value you can get for your money. Let me futher qualify that by adding that you also MUST overclock them to get that value. You wont see it in the review site benchies but two good oc'd 460's will prance on 2 6870's costing at least $60 or $70 more (PER CARD) in many cases even more than that.

Me...I had my share of misfortune with overclocking video cards.  I will pay that
extra money, knowing that the 6870s baseline  performance (in Crossfire) is head
and shoulders above the 460s (in SLI).

Plus...that new Catalyst 10.10 driver is supposed to be the shiznit. :)

As with everything else, you get what you pay for.  I'll stick to CPU overclocking.  I've never
burned a mobo doing that.

with these 460s, especially the Cyclone, you have to be extremely unlucky to get one that cant overclock.

Surprise, surprise. Looks like the broken crossfire in bc2 has made its way to yet another driver release. This is the fifth one in a row!

And you KNOW vietnam is going to have the same problem cuz its the exact same engine.

Tsk tsk, glad I got off that particular fail boat.

lol @ BC2 Afghan edition. THAT should have been the real name.

But on a real, people does still run FPS on a control boy?

Jah, I wonder wha masochist thought up that idea which, sadly, like break dancing, is slowly catching on.

LOL. New benchmarks usually bring lower scores. 15k seems like the holy grail of scores in this suite.

Doing some testing at some more stable speeds right now.

4ghz is unstable territory for me.

http://s115.photobucket.com/albums/n310/daaaknite/Antec%20900%20Case%20Mod/

Spent the day doing some mods on my trusty old Antec 900. I say the old girl has some life in her yet!

Naturally, I took some before and after pics.

Cut some holes to run cables through, flipped the psu and cut the needed hole for air intake. PSU now draws in cool air from under the case instead of hot air from inside the case, cut the backplate for access to the rear side of mount for CPU cooler w/o having to remove he entire board, painted in matte black for neater finish.
