Amm is CXC O'Level Maths we talking bout here?  :ko:

ammm if it is.....aside from the good will and prays it sorta sad to make a whole thread just for that eh.............I mean come on its just cxc O'LEVEL MATHS.....that's a sure distinction or at least a one.

 :shakehead:

But anyway good luck to all who have to do it.

If it is CXC Maths then, you don't need prayers or luck

Just when writing paper 2 follow the instructions.

1 - don't do the questions in order 1,2,3 etc. Instead when u open ur paper look through the entire thing and see which u are best at, and attempt those first, remember to number them correctly.

2 - When u are doing a question, try your best to layout how u arrived at your answers step by step. Don't rush through them for 2 reasons.... 1 if u make a mistake u will have to start over from scratch and 2 the examiner will like to see proper layout and working

3 - The paper is out of 120 marks, 90 for section 1 and 30 for section 2. If you complete section one then you are standing at a high 2, do 1 question from section 3 and secure your one, and complete all and you get your distinction.(Obviously i don't mean to get perfect marks throughout even though that will be good, but the layout of your work show comprehension to the examiner and since your grade is not solely about right and wrong, it is important to attempt ALL questions).

4 - Paper one is easy, and students take it for granted and rush through because it is multiple choice. Some answers are very close to each other so pay close attention to all the rules and laws u were learning in the last 5 years. They really come in handy, particularly in geometry, trigs and functions.

5 - Finally, don't rush your paper down. Take your time and do your work. Ignore your surroundings and put yourself in a maths zone. After completing your exam, then feel free to lime or drink or play game or whatever floats your boat, just clear your mind of all thing except maths.

Your old pal Ulti

WOW   WTMC @ that last post..........well done ....(you sound like you're holding tomorrow paper there in your hand)

Honestly take his advice.........with O level you have alot of time on your hands so just take it easy and do it.
I did my paper one in 20mins and dived out....doe worry I got a distinction....twice LOL (jan and june).....don't do that...just take all the time and do the ppl papers properly

And for paper 2 pretend you are writing for an extremely dotish person and explain everything.....even if you have to write little notes and points

And yes Unknown I am a maths wizz muhahahahah thats why I put graphs in my literature exams to explain character developments....doe worry got a distinction with that also......and no not y and x axis graphs just graphical references drawn to developments....amm long story doe bother with that.

Just go do the ppl paper how they want it and you good to go.
No need to learn everything as UltimateGamer pointed out.

PS who ever here, is doing that exam 2moro, will get chakra if they get a one......If not doe talk 2 me for about 2days.  :violent5: :read2: :evil4:
