Game gear [Fashion for gamers and tech specialists]
« on: May 02, 2007, 02:29:05 PM »
I was thinking of doing some tshirts and polos specifically geared to gamers and the technologically inclined.

Something along the lines of the stuff you see on jinx.com but I was looking for some feed back on what would be appropriate for the local gamer.

I have some sample ideas below so tell me what you think.

I love this idea. Its something I've considered for a long time but two things are holding me back.

1) I don't have a creative bone in my body

2) I don't have a creative bone in my body.

Was thinking of calling it GATT GameGear (GG) for short. What a coincidence.

Stole a few ideas from around the net, have 'em in a folder. Not sure if copyright will be an issue but I'll dredge 'em up and share 'em here.

Aids, if you wanna do this fuh real, is there someway we can get the GATT brand in there?

Live my dream through you! lol

I don't see why we can't put the GATT logo somewhere in the designs. Would be good for distributing through all the GL's.

Here's the deal. If you have an idea for a shirt that you think a lot of gamers (other than you and your immediate clan mates) would buy then send me a PM or an email and I will work up a design. I won't charge for artwork but I would like to print at minimum somewhere between 25 - 50 shirts in a particular design at a time. (It works out cheaper that way since the artwork cost is out of pocket) A printed shirt should average around $50 maybe less but it would depend on the amount of colours in the design so if you interested send me your designs and I will post a few more of my own as well.

I started a new album to post my design BTW. Check it out at http://www.carigamers.com/media/members/aids/G4ME+gear/

And NGW you can PM me to work out the specifics of the branding.

Great idea, my creative blood is a bit drained lately... so maybe when I get hit by some stroke of slogan brilliance i'll add to the mix. But good idea none the less... the GATT logo isa cool scene, but I think having it 'brandless' is also a good idea. Could have a separate line for GATT I recon.

Well either way it already have a brand (G4ME gear) it's just a question of weather or not GATT getting involved. Even so you can  get any of the current designs printed right now and I will continually add new designs to the album.

I added these this morning.

more to come soon.

The mere fact that it being brandished about on our forums means that GATT already involved.

The question is how we getting on the T-Shirt. You could fit in the logo somewhere? I can send the original if needed.

To expand on the 'pee-yong' idea.

How about stark white letters against a black background with the words:

'GAME PEEYONG' or 'GAME PEEYONG IN TRAINING' or even 'SUPER GAME PEEYONG'

These phrases instantly identify and personify the Trini gamer.  I always wondered what it
would look like professionally done on a black tee.

i think we need to agree on how to spell the word 'pee-yong' first :D

how about one with a old man and a youngling, and the old man telling him: "I tell yuh Nintendo go spoil the TV" and he collecting ah belt :D

i wanna relate this story about this vietnamese guy who plays lineage 2

hes legendary on the server for his absolute dominance of the gladiator class

and this one time at an event hosted by the gms, a large pvp event where clans where supposed to send in a 8 man team to pvp against other teams and the winner be rewarded.

Vietknight, thats teh guys character, enters the event alone, because he and his brother are the only people in his clan, the gms allow it just to see what he can achieve.

Viet Knight then goes on to totally dominate a pvp event against teams of 8
mowing down one team after another, with people observing in awe.

After all the battling is done and he is walking away from the arena
the gms actually show up in the game with their characters and say
"Congratulations to Vietknight for another amazing showing of skill"

Viet knight responds
"No need to Congratulate, i AM VK"  (VK is short for vietknight)

Server goes absolutely mad in cheers for him, lol.

I Want thatttt on my shirt!!

"No need to congratulate, i AM a trini gamer yes yes"

For a second there I thought that that story was going to be totally unrelated to the topic but in the end it was worth it. That is one hell of a t-shirt idea and I will definitely work on that one soon.

One other thing, I'm not taking orders for any specific design as yet but I do appreciate the support. Maybe from next week i will work out the specifics of ordering and I will update you all to suit but in the mean time you can decide which designs you would like to have so that when I am ready to take orders you can give me the info. Thanks again.

Yeah they cool but their designs not completely suited to Trini gamers. I wanted to do something with a local flavour.

BTW, album updated. http://www.carigamers.com/media/members/aids/G4ME+gear/

By popular demand:

And for the ladies.

My wife asked for this one.

Coming soon kids and babies.
