There was a time when people said the DS was a piece of $hit and naming a console Wii would just destroy it's popularity. Well, those people should read this:

  PS2 proved that graphics doesn't matter much at all , its all about gameplay... Though it matters to me... i'd be buying one already if it could play dvds and was twice as fast ,it won't have costed nintendo anything to make it so...

I don't know. The graphical difference between the 3 consoles of the sixth gen weren't -that- large. So I wouldn't say, as much as it is a good example of it, that the PS2 reall proved it. The piece of hardware that proved that outrightly was the DS.

Wii = revamped Gamecube with innovative new controlls but i cant complain i mean look at Harvest Moon I wouldnt touch that game with a 51 1/2 foot pole but it has almost as much versions as crash and FF so it just proves that Nintendo has a really hardcore following. Profits up 77%  i personally would not buy a Wii but if i somehow happen to get on by act of kindness or Divine intervention (Wii system falls into my lap from nowere) i'll gladly accept it

All I have to say is I PRAY that with the large income they getting atm, they use it WISELY to properly fun R&D into their next console. Keeping innovative controls...adding to the innovation AND DRASTICALLY improving the quality of the visuals...

Fuh real i know i say that the Wii is a revamped Gamecube but some games on the cube look better than the the Wii versions

One or two. And that's because of developer laziness.

Um cube Zelda looked better than Wii zelda and that is almost if not in house development

Well, Nintendo took a huge gamble on an unproven system (Wii control scheme) and scored big-time,
and they continue to dominate the handheld market, even with technically inferior hardware.
