CPUI have a dream...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103864 Back to the reality of my bank account:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103778What I would actually prefer, if I get the cash is the 5600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103771GPUheee heee....my other dream would prolly entail me having an 8800
Right now I have an ATi X1300...I'm think I'm going back to Nvidia though...looking at the reviews i haven't somehow found the confidence that it is worth upgrading to any of the higher-end ATi cards.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150183I don't want to start an ATi and Nvidia war, but lets say compare the 7900 to the X1950...what do you think its the better deal.
RAMhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146513I don't think I'm going to go up to 4GB anytime soon(hmmm like sum ppl lol - but to each his own)..2GBs is enuff.
OtherWell I thinking about buying a new case, but what worries me is
1). FInding a really decent case down here for a reasonable price
2). If 1 isn't an option, shipping still going to kill me on bringing down a case
3). I can't lift most of the cases I really like. (Too weak and smallie)
Thinking about trying my hands at modding one of the cases I have home here....not too if that will end well.
Seeing that Flow going digital, might actually pick up one of these and run up MythTV
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146513I think I've easily run over 6k there, now need to go find a 7k salary so I won't feel the pain lol.
If all goes well, I should be able to start building this system in about 4 months (put 1,500 of my salary towards it and I shud b good 2 go)
PS: Ohh I just read the Tom's hardware review, apparently the X1950 is kicking the 7900GT's @ss.
I still gonna stick with Nvidia simply b'c of the poor ATi support for linux drivers
Sorry ATi, it doesn't please me much to catch my tail installing fglrx, and then still not be able to run beryl!!! I want to go round and round on my cube desktop..(thank you firefox for that nice little tab add-on, atlest I get to go round and round on firefox - unfortunately a windows only add-on)
Mod edit: Don't double post please. Use next timeI knew it had a edit/modify button somewhere, didnt realize it was @ the top there. Tanks and sorry
