oh yeah......i was walkin thru SAC(Student Activity Centre) on thursday and saw a TV with a cube and Xbox360 hook up to it wid ppl pongin game...........so maybe dis naruto 4 thing can be arranged in uwi?? i think they had bring dey own tv, n dey fine an outlet n start to play........i woulda stop to ask questions, but i was late 4 a class.............

tomorrrow (saturday) lookin the best oppurtunity, maybe after 3 or 4, we will bring the cube , jus bring the players to yur hq, we will try our very best to make, the only real problem is jus getting down there so things lookin positive but if we make this effort we expect a good competiton and an attenpt by u guys the next time to make it down..

Ok well it look like once again we miss the legendary crixx, but the Naruto players who were there today should have a lot to say when they see you next I hope. If we can, we'll try to make it up again for monday. Please try to make it a little earlier. As HQ opens later on public holidays, we'll also try to stay a bit longer.

wel wel wel we made it down once again  \but crixx was MIA, i found myself questioning, is crixx really a person or a legend made up to make us quake lol, newayzz we really hope to verse this crixx in battle, as seen today, although good challenges and sparring practice overall the general consensus was NOOBage....honestly baego's son brad was the best, we bow to you, you will grow to be one of the greats in the narutage.

so the cube was brought, the entire crew came to hq and we gave the guys some practice ..so there shall be no excuse now....the CHALLENGE IS ON you guys now...u have seen a taste of the skills by other naruto players in trinidad and trust us there are players in the world that are faar far far better , levels not even the creators of the game could reach..so its time to bring up your game and bring the fite to us this time if u guys want to get better as well as us, we want ot see a real challenge, we actually want to get beaten to sharpen skills and see that there can be more to the game.

Anyhoo, my congrats go out to the Speed Crew (as well as Baego's son, who I hear kicks some ass in the game) for actually taking it upon themselves to step up to the plate and make themselves forces to be reckoned with. You guys have serious testicular fortitude, I'll hand you that. One thing, though.

Crixx, I hope you read that.
Because if that was me, the two phrases that would never show up in their vocabulary are "MIA" and "made up to make us quake".

On top of that, I'm not exactly thrilled at the fact that this has turned into a poll about whether this challenge would happen or not. If you really are serious about you being the champion of Naruto, then things like these should not happen. At all. People should be saying "Well, he came, he saw, and he royally beat our asses like Chuck Norris would do to the cast of Teletubbies."

Still, there is always Monday, so I'm watching to see if it does happen. I still like to give people the benefit of a doubt, and I do have faith in people.

But I swear, (no offense meant by this, by the way), if Monday passes and nothing happened without as much as an explanation until way after, and I'd say that so called title was literally full of S**T. Because I'm seeing these guys, and they're pulling out all of the stops to call people out, and even bringing their own consoles to the fray, and I'm seeing "M.I.A."? Lord, have MERCY.

Now, I'm telling you this as a friend, Crixx. Put your money where your mouth is.
If there are people bragging about how "Crixx might be a made up fairy tale like the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the guy who invented Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.", it's up to you to make time and either shut them the hell up, or at least go down in a blaze of glory. That way, people wouldn't start scoffing at your title like they are right now.

On a side note, I am going to be hosting a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 tournament, and I will enter, and I am going to stake my reputation as a force to be reckoned with in that game on the line. I don't really care if I lose, either....because, at the very least, I tried (and I'll try my hardest as well), and it's my own behind that I've placed in the frying pan.


So, I'm counting on you, Crixx.
If that Naruto title means anything to you at all, go out there and face these guys. True, work and life can catch up to us, but I doubt it does at the times they're calling. I'm seriously hoping that by the time I check over this thread, I'm seeing a 'GG' exchange between two teams who gave it their all, and not "He didn't show up."

xjin (brad) put up a good fight in Crixx's absense. He did a lot better than me, taking a few victories. Not winning a game myself.

Same here, looking forward to the next one, hopefully a little sooner than last time around. Yeah cloud is a real character, we also see some players who look as tho christmas come early when they see naruto runnin on the tv!

My oh my...  I was reading up until page two and saw a trend I've come to know and dislike fervently to resurface.  Up till the point when I saw you guys arrange to meet at 11:30am and Crixx refused, I knew he wasn't going to show.

That whole song and dance about him wanting to play you lot is bullshit.  If he ever WAS interested in the competition he'd sacrifice what little he'd have to to be there.  He made it clear that he honestly doesn't care about playing you actually. 

Just thought you guys (Kimmimaro and company) should note that.  I've found myself at this position all too often and I've only been truly impressed by people I've met OUTSIDE the forums.  The very same people I saw came across at places like SNS and arcades all over the country were my best sources of competition.

You have to look outside of here.  If you try to base your comp here you may very well stagnate and rot your brain.  I haven't personally played the game to any significant extent to know and understand how it works, but my recommendation is that you find players internationally.  If you cannot speak to them online then search for vids of their playstyles.  Analyze as much as possible and use what you can from it to bring into your own style of play.

That's the closest thing you may get to higher level competition at this rate.

Yeah looking to the international experts is good advice. Best way to achieve top tier level yourself in the shortest time.

I was reading an old thread, one like about four years old. A guy made the observation that most of the gamers he'd met and places he'd been were as a result of this community. Directly and indirectly.

It was a powerful point and one that many of us take for granted.

If there wasn't GATT and this forum, there would not have been an SNS to begin with. Nor countless other GLs that came forth thereafter. Not to mention thousands of gamers that now know each other in one way or another as a result of meeting at those places.

We can't take credit for the arcade scene much as we have done precious little for that but cut us a little slack.

What have you in such a bitter mood?

I suppose it's the fact that Crixx is being a no-show as far as this challenge is concerned.
Believe me, it's also something that has me ticked off as well.

However, like I said, I do try to have some faith in people.

If he makes it on Monday like he said he would, then okay.
If he can't make it, but he lets the Speed Crew know in advance before they go through the trouble and tries to set a new date, also okay.
However, if he doesn't make it, and he pulls an excuse way after the challenge is over and done with...that's not okay.

Because I, for one, can't stand seeing how hard Speed Crew is trying to reach him, only to be constantly disappointed. Believe you me, Crixx, you're beginning to earn a lot of ire from people, including me, for this, and frankly, I do want to see you do a lot better than that.
