hmm......more controversy. Rockstar pushing thier luck again. And i LOVE it. They need to do that. If Hollywood can make "15 minutes" we can make GTA 4.

tell the truth, it didn't blow me away like the previous GTA trailers the first time i saw it. But after reading the screen be screen anaylze i got more warm to it. it'll be a change of pace playing an immigrant to NY (which i once was

), hopefully the guy can be customized though, to me he seemed like another homeless man.

based on a real city this time, should make it interesting , not anything spectacular outside the graphics , probably early in development so any really interesting new features are apsent

Ok news fellas the new GTA is not based in New York major bummer it take a real GTA piong to point this one out to me. GTA IV is in a redesigned Liberty city ( the city from GTA III ) if u look closely at the video you will notice a building called The Liberteen a key place in GTA III. Besides that i guess these B&(@#*(@ really try to screw with we making we think is NYC

THE CITY of New York is apparently miffed that it has been used as the backdrop for the latest version of the violent game Grand Theft Auto.

A spokesman for Mayor Michael Bloomberg has gone on record as saying that his boss does not support any game where you earn points for injuring or killing police officers.

Trailers for the latest game which will appear on Thursday show the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and Coney Island's Cyclone.

Bloomberg has an interest in buyers not seeing New York as the sort of place where GTA can take place.

His department is keen to point out that since he took office car theft has halved and the murder rate is down by 28 per cent.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly told hacks that it was despicable to glamorise violence in games like these, regardless of how far-fetched the setting may be. We guess he will stop flogging police videos of people being shot or involved in car chases to reality TV shows then.

I have to say I agree with them... having a GTA in a real modern day metropolis, promoting anarchy is not the best idea. In the least a mock up place that heavily resembles NYC... but in general though I do quite like the GTA franchise... perhaps its time for them to take a more positive approach. I am very much liking Crackdown for the 360 which is the reverse of GTA in a sense. You play as a Cop CLEANING up the city as opposed to trying to rule it through drugs, theft, muder and senseless violence... 3 times is enough, time for something different....
