X2 dual core and WoW

SO i have this 3800 X2 in my system here....it aight....go work for now.

Point is apparently some games it likes and some it doesnt.

Those that know me know that all i play is WoW. If anyone knows a way to help the processor with this game please post.

Im getting random freezes and d/c in game. It is not my interenet connection.....Teamspeak/Ventrillo works fine even when I get d/c.

any help will be appreciated.

if you are gonna post "i have X2 and i have no issues" and dont know why......well that isnt helping me.

Is this a documented issues with 3800 X2's shiv? or do you supposed this is somehow related to your recent burn out? The only thing I can suggest is to set the affilinity of WOW to a single core on your processor via the Processes page of task manager. See if that helps. I don't see how the CPU would affect connectivity to the server, but my suggestion is from a multi-thread issue stance.

I was having that same issue until I got the dual-core optimisation patch from AMD's website.

Very good question.
I did not even consider that, or else I would have tested it.

I will try uninstalling it and see, but then that might cause my system to
become unstable.
