EPIC GAMES VEEP Mark Rein said the game, Gears of War will come to the PC platform soon. In fact, the game was developed on a the personal computer so that is the next logical step.

Mark pointed out that Epic is a small company cannot therefore work on a multitude of projects. it is a second-generation company that is developing content using the potential of the targeted platform to the fullest.

Epic is planning and working on the conversion, but there are couple of buts before we can say what will happen and in what timeframe. The game is probably done and needs tweaking and serious QA testing, which will come into order once that Unreal Tournament III hits the stores. When, where and what - will be disclosed later. µ

I'd like to see them develop a game on something other than a PC.

Unless they mean, macs. (lol)

Was watchin a making of Tekken video the other day and surprise surprise, developed on a PC!

It should be understood but it is always nice to see the face of a console fanboy when the reality of their platform content being developed on a PC hit's 'em square in the gonads.

Well considering the 360 is more akin to the PowerPC gen macs... that could also be their development platform.. so I wouldn't put it as a "no duh" actually.

Well, that depends on your definition of enjoy. I remember when Halo came out for PC and brought high-end systems to their knees. That was an Xbox game. Imagine what kind of system a Xbox 360 game will require. Oh wait, we already have Oblivion to test that theory. Show of hands for all who can run Oblivion on their PC's as smooth and clean as on a Xbox 360. Anyone ... anyone ... Bueller.

Hmm ... I guess Crixx is the first to raise his hand. Congrats to Crixx who is running a $500 graphics card and $300 CPU in his PC. Not all of us have such uber components in our rigs. I am running a meager FX 5500 with a Athlon 64 2800+ and 1 GB of RAM. I was just hinting that not everyone has a beast of a PC to run games like Oblivion with everything on high. Also, to get that kind of PC costs a pretty penny. We all know that the potential for PC games is always more than consoles. It just costs more to unlock it.

iam not running a rig like that, i will be , but not yet, presently i run oblivion pretty well, no complaints, looks great but not ultra high rez obviously.

and iam glad you can admit that pc always has greater potential

the snide remarks of the console people just irritated me, acting like pc gamers live in the dark ages of graphics O.o
where its the opposite, the 360 has its max and it wont change
where as my rig is going to change. and ill have a better grafix and better performance than a 360

plus i can watch porn and battlestar on my pc
