i used dhleasyshop. Free membership, your stuff usually arrives on monday every week for sure (and wednesdays as well i think). As for cost, rates start at 5.50 for 1 lb but does not increase in that constance (http://www.dhleasyshop.com/POS/rates.html). Has been pretty easy to use so far, no real problems.

Right now, the issues is that customs is just completely unfair in how they charge duties. For instance, I just picked up 2 skinomi cases from amazon. Total cost shipped was $29.00 USD. Customs charged me 18 USD (DUTY) + 5 USD  (VAT) + 5.50 from DHL to bring it in. Yes it cost 28.50 to bring it in, and 29.00 to purchase. Seriously, WTF is up with that. My advice, if u bringing in cell phone accessories, tell the ppl don't put and invoice and declare the value as $5 yes.

An all-too-common occurrence.  Ezone gave me a rate sheet that CUSTOMS THEMSELVES produced, and yet is like a lotto when it comes to VAT and duties now.

I totally fed up ah dem yes...

Good idea Berserk. Consider the competition and let us know.

Those sites have shipping calculators on them. Do like two scenarios.

Say 1) A computer part for US$100 weighing 4 lbs

and 2) A toy for US$40 weighing 2 lbs.

See what cost you get for each and lets compare the competition.

Should be interesting results.

We used Caribbean Express for a year or so.
Cancelled due to their volumetric weight charges as something valued $60 costed us $500ttd.
They had a "repackaging" service where items in big boxes will be repackaged for cheaper cost, we requested that but there was communication mix-up and we paid extra for bubble wrap and air balloons in the box =/.

Other orders were fine but I remember arrival being a bit slow compared to "Aeropost" which we use now. Just that volumetric weight nonsense left a sour taste.

http://www.aeropost.com/pos/home.htm

Aeropost is pretty good overall. Ordered something from amazon with 2 day shipping on a Saturday night. Got it Wednesday morning. No volumetric weight charges either.
They email you and text you as well as call you the day they are delivering to your door.
Email contains all charges due as well.
Overall nothing to complain about Aeropost so far.

I heard aeropost is very expensive.

Can you check their rates and work out the price for two items to compare to the other providers?

You could use the examples from earlier in the thread. One toy and one computer component.

Not sure about the others but I know I get the full brunt of customs/duty most times I use aeropost hehe. If I order a new PS3 game for example costing 60 USD I would normally end up paying 20 USD or so in duty :(

How you so luck apprentice :p
