I got mine at a chance meeting at best buy in canada...

Due to an unfortunate family event, resulting in me going there...

They were sold out completely... and it so happened that best buy get stock the morning i went...

So horray for me

My condolences ...........to buying the PS3.

Was sent a test system with launch titles for reviews and analysis.......was clearly not impressed.....sent it back.

Theres tons of PS3's hanging around Best Buys over here....no one is buying them. So finding them shouldnt be a problem.

Viv, can't you just play those Xbox games on the 360? I think Microsoft has updated the Backward Compatibility for the BULK of the Xbox Library. Why keep the BIG black box? Although mine is still there LOL...

Well, my old save games will not be able to transfer to 360. Plus, there are still some games I have that are not compatible. If I get some more that are, I might just try them on 360. Then again, they fix the resolution to 720p for all Xbox games. So, games that are only 480p end up with sidebars. They stretch the picture on the original Xbox for 480p games and I like that better for some reason.

Hmm, ok, well my PLasma gives me the option to stretch a 480p signal to widescreen anyway. I can switch from 4:3 to 16:9.

Xbox 360 has been out quite a while and most people would want to wait for ps3 to get more titles b4 buying

So far the games I heard 'em play is Resistance: Fall of Man, Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken 5 DR.

I'm actually a bit keen on getting one now since the release of Tekken 5 DR.

you see the gameplay tests of motorstorm on x-play? this game is so pretty

and from the looks of it its violent style of gameplay may be just what the system needs.

but strangely me being with sony for so many years....

I'm yet to play a MGS title...

the Illuminat theory in Metal Gear is interesting....but......

I enjoyed the PSOne version the most. Second one besides the whole Raiden thing, the game was fun to play, the 30 minute cutscene at the end before the final battle though.....hmm.

Snake Eater was nice....like that one too. But MG has become a fan driven franchise. You really wont see it pulling people who dont know about MG into the series starting with MGS4. The story has really moved forward. To follow it you really have to step way back and move up.
