HD DVD at 51GB?

Well it looks like Blu Ray has some competition space wise, as Toshiba has developed a 3 layer HD DVD disc that holds 51 GB, 1 GB more than the Blu Ray. Interesting development seeing as Sony's PS3 's major selling point is the Blu Ray player built in and Microsoft's HD DVD drive accessory. Should be an interesting fight indeed..

I read up on this already and the thing about it is, that BR can do the same, effectively tripling their space as well so its kinda moot really. This war will be won on who has the better movies really... its beta vs. VHS all over again.
