well, on digg, and i saw a link to an article entitled 'MS purchases CAPCOM'

article dead by the time i reach, but hey.. not outta the realm of possibillity.. 



they bought Rare ( big nintendo house) and even Bungie ( mac house.. study Halo coulda be a mac exclusive..)

saw some rumour sites, and apparently this circulatin since november ( EGM had a small story on it)
nah but capcom, dred...  that would be a teifhead..

that just ridiculous, capcom has so many ps and nintendo titles franchises in the tube right now, that if MS buys over capcom, all will halt and some would have to either stop development or port over to the Xbox. With the exception of resident evil 5, no big name title is coming to microsoft right now, which means that MS would not have a good idea of how capcom brand of games will fair in a first person dominated US and european market.

Yeah but really not enough to justify the buy out of one the biggest Japanese developers. And it i salso not to hard to imagine 2d or not gameplay for sony either. I really believe unforunate we've going to start seeing 75% of games will be multi-platform.  For MS I can much easier see them doing that to Namco.

Here's the thing, Capcom USA and Capcom Japan are two different identities, so MS would be buying out Capcom USA. Capcom Japan recently sold the rights to Street Fighter to Capcom USA hence why we salting. Also in a irc room I frequent there are top ppl from Capcom USA the main being Seth Killian who has to this day has said nothing about the said possible merger.

On a side note, shame on anybody who legitimately bought this.
Capcom has done far too well being a cross-platform developer to sell their soul to Microsoft. In any case, what would be the -point-? Capcom's neither in financial straits nor is even going to remotely risk earning the ire of many fans by selling out to Bill Gates. True, the on-line support is something to be considered, but you can always make more by letting a wider variety of gamers enjoy the titles.
