I saw an article a while back, but didn't bother to post it. For all intents and purposes this seems to be the platform of choice for serious games and overclockers. At least on the Intel side. The 680 is gonna have a price premium to be sure, but should do some amazing things. What I also find interesting is it supports Pentium Ds, Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad... thats impressive.

And whats more, in the future there will be a 650 chipset, a somewhat scaled down version of the 680 (only 1 x16 bus and 2 x1 lanes) which will appear on motherboards priced as low as $100!!! Now that is niceness for men on a tight budget, gling in a lil 63/6400 and u have a mini beast!
