Favorite sports games

I know it have plenty sports games coming out all the time. Leh we hear which ones (specific with year also) is de favorites. I guess you could include extreme sports and wrestling too. We could save racing games for another thread cause there are so many of them. Some of my favorites:
1. Arch Rivals - I remember playing this in an arcade and just running around cuffing down men and getting them frustrated. That was real fun back in de day.
2. NHL '94 - I had this one for my SNES along with the NHLPA '93 one. This one introduced one-timers if I remember correctly and that added a much more reliable way of scoring. I enjoyed this one a lot more and could seriously take on anybody in it.
3. NBA Jam - Ooooooooooooooo boomshakalaka. That is how an arcade game is supposed to be. Real graphics and sound and outrageous dunks. Plus, the announcer was just crazy.
4. NFL 2K - Up to this point, I had tried playing video game football and I was real sad at it. Anybody who play knows how hard it is when you playing people who know how to score. When this game came out, though, I could finally play. The running game was a factor at long last and passing felt natural.
5. Virtua Tennis - Arguably the best tennis game (and maybe sports game) ever made. The thing had superb graphics and played like a dream. Control was easy for anybody to pick and showed why Sega is a boss at arcade games.
6. NBA Street V3 - This game have graphics so sweet it beyond description. I never see anything like this yet. The control is real smooth too and you could bust moves like nobody business.
7. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater - This game is just poetry in motion. The way you could skate, do tricks and link them was just so smooth.
8. Sega Bass Fishing - Of course, if you didn't have the fishing controller for DC you would not agree with this choice. If you did, well, you would remember how bad it was to cast the line and reel in a bite all with full rumble effects as well.
9. PGA Tour Golf - The original version for PC was the one that I played the most. That game got me hooked on golf games and I still have dreams/nightmares of that 17th hole at Sawgrass.

I loved all the Tony Hawk games (especially 4 which had the best music and skate videos)
Other memorable sport games include:
FIFA 2005
FIFA World Cup Germany
Fight Night 2005
Cricket 2005
Virtual Tennis (sega dreamcast)
NBA JAM (super nintendo a kick @$$ game)
Mario Tennis (I consider this a sport game)
and NBA 2K6

Winning 11 8 is a million times better than FIFA to mean anyway...
But I still have to stick with Madden, though the 2k series was excellent. I found it much easier to run up the score on 2k than I did on the Madden of the same year. Too bad Madden shut it down though. The 19.99 price tag and what it did to Madden was Boss.
I also really like the Football Manager 2006 program. No graphics to speak of...but the managerial.depth of the game is very addictive.

Never got a chance to play Winning Eleven...heard it was great though. Don't bash FIFA too much though...it's a million times better than the failure known as ISS: International Superstar Soccer "bleh"

I have a feeling that Madden 2007 will be my favorite football game. They actually paying more attention to the running game this year. You can control the lead blocker which is real nice. I tend to favor a balanced offense but playing against pass-happy players can kill that strategy real quick.

the reviews for Madden 2007 are a bit lack luster, and don't really inspire me to run out and buy the game....couple that with the fact that I'll be playing it on PC this year and I don't have a gamepad....
I'm struggling as to whether or not I'm going to buy it.
