Kratos Returns
« on: September 07, 2006, 12:08:39 PM »
As innovative as it was I did not really appreciate the first God of War because I beat it too fast and I paid $500.00 for it
But this new installment looks more challenging and cool.Saw it on X-Play 2 weeks ago

Metal Gear Solid, Syphon Filter (notably 2) and Resident Evil were also action/adventure games and they were better ...and LONGER than God of War

Mind you....I beat God of War...in God Mode...in 9 hours.....
GOd Mode....
Yeah

RE on Hard was f***in' hard
Metal Gear Solid on Hard was....jah boy
Syphon Filter .......jah boy part duex

It just goes to show that the game isn't challenging enough...

Oh and just off topic if you're wondering how I beat the game in God Mode when I got the game I'll explain:
My friend bought, played and beaten the game before me. He challenged me to Beat the game in God Mode but he didn't give me time constraints.
He took 2 days to beat the game.
Literally 2 days..

I beat the game in 9 f***in' hours.....no more to say have I

Good for you dude but metal gear was extra hard because of the stealt factor in that if you got seen it was almost like game over and almost the same for Syphon filter.
As for hard games RE4 was up there with the best of them and i beat that like it owed me money, the prob with GOW is the frustration of knowing you had about 3 more N!&&@$ to kill and the game just pulls out a big cheat. I'm gonna beat it before GOW2 comes out hopefully the save data will be transferable unlike Kingdom hearts i took time to beat Sephiroth and got no use for it in part 2 that sucked .

You see the plight game developers in? They have to make a game that is long enough, engaging enough throughout the game and on top of that ... they have to release the game when the publisher wants them to (in a lot of cases). I would take a short, quality game over a long, not so interesting one any day especially when it seems like a lot of the "action" in some long games is forced stuff that is just there to fill space and time. Say what you will about God of War, what it boils down to is that the story, presentation and gameplay kicked major @$$ and people just did not want to stop when the game was done. That, my friends, is the hallmark of a boss game. Vice City was always interesting though ...

and you think your exploits make you better than any of us here?

Ok hold on dude....I didn't say that..so don't toss $#it in my face...I was only stressing how f***in' overated the first GOW was and I was only hoping that the second installment would be better...

Flip in my opinion God of War is not overated it is by far one of the best games ive ever played and i think that the fact that you like everyone else are complaining about it being to short means that you wanted to play it even more. I too think it should have been longer but i would never say GOW was over rated the combos the storyline everythin worked. OK and about other games i think that resident evils were far easier than GOW and shorter as i beat Re4 in less time than GOW. As for MGS that is one of my fave game series and aside from MGS3 they were all long enough and on extreme.. no comment. MGS3 i beat too fast but i played it over to catch that spider and shoot frogs. Anyway like i told laertes on the ps3 downgrade thread trinis cant stay on one topic for long see how we straying lol.

If is one ting we doh have to worry about is Kratos finding somebody @$$ to kick. If Kratos have to resurrect Ares just to kick his @$$ and kill him again, he go do it.

Not really betray more like screw him over and lead him on with false hopes to get him to do their bidding.
