I have the series....unfortunately since you said Ghost in the Shell 2 is crap...I basically hate you now...

Naw only kidding...Ghost in the Shell 2 was actually good dude so I'm kinda surprised by the comments (I guess everyone's a critic) however I wasn't entirely pleased with the series..it honestly lacks spinach....it sucks..plain and simple, to say the least.

So in other words we are complete opposites then? lol!

I just feel that they miss the point from the first movie: What the hell does it mean to be human?
After all the complex story telling and characters, that is really what i think it was about.

But after seeing lain and other similiar reality verus perception anime, i just feel it was little clichéd.

But anyway my opinions doh amount to a hill of beans, but in all seriousness i go still want to see popeye even if he have no spanish, just by reputation.

So if you could supply it or can't, say so and if yoy could then cool, i would hit you a PM we go discuss it.(I have a half decent collection maybe i have something u want too)

nah
if you read the manga and all you would of enjoyed the gist 2 a little more it wasnt as great as 1 ill admit but it was to say good enough.
as for the series
GHOST IN THE SHELL STAND ALONE COMPLEX..
my avatar is a pic of matoko in gist stand alone complex ..yea im a kusanagi fan ^___^
i have the complete series both first gig and second gig
very good in my opinion its an alternate universe from the ones in the movies where matoko is still there with batou and others but to make a long story short its a breath of fresh air from some other anime series and very good id personaly give it a 8/10
you have to remeber that ghost in the shell is not all about action and animes following in this category patlabor etc
its more of political warfare etc kind of like watchin an anime version of 24 lol

well if youd like to get the series you can pm me but im from south so lol flip might be your better bet fix to suite

i always liked the GITS series.  it touches on alot of issuses we go through today, like terrorism and the immigration issues. i saw like the first half of the GITS movie, never got around to finishing it. but i like it.

HUGE fan of the GITS series and movies. the Series runs in a parallel universe to the movies. Its completely separate. Do not go in expecting a "mad kickup" this is a VERY detailed movie. The director, writers and producers create a living breathing future with man and machine and it can very well be plausible and believeable. The action is not often in this movie, but when there is action it is very good. This series is HARD on politics and terrorism. I have GITS Stand Alone Complex and Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG. The series is by FAR more advanced than the movies could be. They have taken a great movie and stepped it up a good few notches, well done.
If you want your action and stuff stick with kiddy anime, they ALLLLL over the place

yep. but is not a series to just "siddong" and take in. This not Naruto where everything spell out for you and action all over the place.

you're right, the laughing man case had to be one of the best plot lines ever in an anime.   really had me guessing like a good suspense story, all the way up to the end.

i've seen 2nd gig, it was about the whole refugee uprising thing, with ppl syncronizing(sp) with that guys who's face couldn't move much. (think his name was Kuze)
it was interesting how after a while you figure out the connection between him and the major from their time in the hospital.

but one question i still have about 2nd gig is during the fight with Pazu and the imposter. who was the one to win? i was trying to keep track of wounds and such, but i messed up.
