Unfortunate incident at Fantasy V.
« on: October 07, 2006, 07:51:34 PM »
Last Saturday night (30th Sep 2006) was like any other. All of the Fantasy friends had gathered for overnight sweat in to partake in some good clean fun pawning each other's heads in DotA, sniping evil Nazis from a distance over the hill by the tree in COD and making men inhale NOS and other car related emissions in Most Wanted. In the we hours of the morning, when Colin (owner of Fantasy V.) ran home to take care of some personal business, one of the "friends" decided to take it upon themselves to remove 8 of his original Playstation games from thee pouch in which they were held. This pouch is normally locked away, however the guy in charge of it accidentally left it open, creating the opportunity for the thief. As a result of his error, he was fired. We have narrowed the culprit down to one particular person known as Krypt (real name Shellon). After confronting him, he became all hot and sweaty and claimed to be 'hurt' over being accused of such an atrosity. He later proceeded to impersinate a police officer in attempts to 'save his own skin'. As of now, the matter is in the hands of the Police therefore i wont divulge any specifics. Long and short of the whole story is that we at Fantasy V. would like to warn all other cafes and gamin centers about this person and exercise discression with thim should he appear at your business place. Personally, I think it was a very unfortunate incident because he was someone we trusted and this incident served as a wake up call that even your friends cannot be trusted. Also, it is very unfortunate that he can't even confess his crime and return the stolen merchandise because what he has done in effect is cause a good man to lose his job and take away income that could have been generated for the cafe through those games.

Please, let this serve as a warning for all those with gaming centres and to everyone in general that your friends, no matter how close, can never be trusted 100%. Thank you for your time, this is the_unknown saying peace out.

We have had similar experiences at GATT HQ, having to send home "trusted" employees.

One was caught red handed on camera and only so confessed to the crime.

Truly an eye opener for us and I am sorry that Fantasy V has to share our fate.

My Sympathy.

Hope that the squad rallies forward and overcomes this heart breaking incident.

Cameras really are a great idea for this sort of thing. Will relay this idea to the powers that be.

I must say them kinda thing is real nonsense. next time drag them in a room and share out licks mafia-style..

To add to the Camera idea.. you should go for the internet cameras that you can plug in to your network via LAN. Then you can use dyndns.org to monitor your place from anywhere with a DSL connection.
God is dead.

You should've pistol whipped him till he bleated. But, you know, that's just me.

I'm sorry to hear that happened, though.
Sad to say, it really only takes one lousy son of a b***h to ruin things for a lot of people.
Take Sip N' Surf, for example.
It was once a hotspot for duelists, and quickly banned dueling after theives and morons aplenty started preying on people. The same thing with Genesis and Anime City, too.

One thing, though, Unknown.....you definitely have to come up with some way to ensure that this type of thing doesn't happen again, because this is probably the second time I've heard of such a thing happening over there. For one thing, I'd definitely invest in modded gaming systems running on nothing but copies. The originals are staying home. Because it's nothing to lose a copy. It's worth $40-$50, tops. FREE if you have the burner. Originals are over $300. That's a lot.

Secondly, I'd watch some of the people coming in there.
If they're not buying anything and just slacking off,OUT.
There is such a thing as monitoring to see how you go about your business, after all.
So, anybody comes over there, they're there to conduct business. BWEESNASS.

Thirdly, do you have the guy's full name?
I know quite a few people whose names sound like 'Shellon', so I can't really pinpoint for sure who it is until then.

The ps modifying idea is an excellent one, Neo. I have already mentioned mentioned it to Colin and the modification will be copleted soon to avoid such incidents in the future.
