lol...ppl always arguing about hardware specs and stuff, but i remember right before the xbox came out, and everybody heard the specs and went "WTF"

i know from experience that performance don't mean nuttin here, i buying a PS3 because all my favourite games are gonna be on that console.
If the 360 had just 1 good game so far i'd a bought it already, but considering the fact that they're waiting on the Ps3 launch before they release some good games means that xbox is still a mere contender.

upgrades won't help, right now even though the ps3 is superior to the 360 in terms of specs, if they fool around with game development and create crap (which i'm sure they won't, but...) then we can expect that ps3 sales will plummet, even though they have blu-ray

. Sony has won me with their great games. The point about xbox 360 being easier to program for is also crappy, i remember that was an even bigger problem with the ps2. But they stuck with it. The ps3 is gonna outsell the xbox360 on launch, that alone gonna make game developers love sony, more systems = more games sold.

It's simple math i think.

You Just lost all viability as a source of good replies... the xbox 360 doesn't have 1 good game? I BELIEVE you mean to say, 1 game YOU think is good. Last I check OBLIVION got best game of E3 2, years in a row. But hey what do I know? I not gonna even bother to talk about the other good games on the 360.

well sorry for the bad grammar, thats exactly what i meant, 1 game i think is worth buying a 360, Oblivion isn't my type of game and i don't doubt that it's good mr. w1nTry, but my type of games aren't on the 360 (fighters etc.) so until then i'll be buying a PS3.

lawd lawd everybody on ma case now!!...lol, no shiv i play almost every genre of games, but for some genres (i'm sure this is the case for u too), the games don't intrest me as much as other genres, like i said i never said i'd never play the game or that it's no good, it's just that i'm not gonna but a system, that has games that i'm not a fan of.

I have a gameshop here in jamaica, and i buy all these games and all these systems, but i haven't bought a 360 for myself because the games aren't to my liking.... please nobody else crucify me please

Fair enough though. I play everything because I have to. But to get a 360 or PS3 i need to get a HDTV, otherwise i wont be able to give an accurate opinion of the game, especially graphically.

Andrew, you ever play Dead or Alive? Dead or Alive 4 happens to be on the 360 and looks amazing on an HDTV. Don't knock it till you've tried it. Fight Night Round 3 is also unbelievably realistic on the 360 with a HDTV of course. Which by the way you will need to appreciate your PS3.

yeah i've seen them games before on HD and yes, they look very good, but no matter how good dead or alive looks i'll always prefer tekken, not for the graphics but for gameplay. Even some 360 fanboys are waiting for Halo 2 before they purchase this nex-gen console. The bottom line for me is the games especially this time around when the difference in graphics between each console is going to be minimal.

This time around? That was always the case, and as far as consoles go The PS2 proved that. Nintendo always telling people its gameplay but not graphics. Not to worry though, this time around everyone going to listen
By the by from the in game footage of Tekken 6 for the PS3 show at E3, the graphics.....well...What you see in the demo video is full on FMV, that isnt ingame video. They took the level down a notch....or 3

well about tekken 6, i'm pretty sure it won't look like that demo i've seen on the net, i think Sony needed to feed the tekken hungry (including me

with a tiny pixelated dose of tekken. As we come closer to the PS3 'due' date we'll probably see a better representation of the actual games to be released. Needless to say, I can't wait

aint it a lil funny though, in the days ps2 versus x box, everyone on the sony side used to say "graphics don't make good games, gameplay and storyline does" including me i wont lie. that is still true but after seeing that tiny bit of the new mgs4 game u can tell alot of games wont touch those graphics in a while (sorta like mgs2 on the ps2) what we've seen so far on the mgs vid is only one location, there will be quite a few. and i checked it out on a high def tv, man that thing blew me away (i'm a MGS fan boy since the start so bear with me). but what i'm trying to say is mgs4 could have the best graphics in the world, but without good gameplay or a good story it will definatly fail (knowing kojima he'll most likely have a good story though). the consoles could have all these fancy enhancements but without good games they're nuthing. sorry if i went a lill off target.

there has not been any gameolay videos of tekken for ps3 yet so you really can't say the game isn't impressive, quite frankly i think the INTRO
they showed sucked bigtime, but i'm sure that will in no way look like what will actually come out on the ps3...

well if i may sir, i'll take u back to tekken tag where initially there were real concerns about how the game looked with regards to anti-aliasing, but after the US release of the game all was corrected to bring a very polished and graphically beautiful game to the PS3, i think it's gonna be the same with the PS3.

as i said before, these ppl(sony) just wanted to tease some tekken fanboys by showing that crap!! i don't think it'll look the same when it comes out shiva...

Tekken for the PS3 is not going to have the FMV visuals that were shown in the video for the past 2 years at E3 IN GAME
The level of detail on the characters shown to me in the NAMCO booth were not even at DOA4's level. ANd these are just the characters. Graphically their character design is finished, their environemnts are still to be completed. THAT was confirmed by NAMCO's developers after i spoke with them at E3. He told us -We've pushed all the graphics we can out of that system as of now, maybee later on in the next few years it will get better. - which it will. You see the best graphics comming down to the end of the consoles life cycle.
Namco or any third party company isnt willing to maximise the systems potential as of yet becuause of costs. They are waiting to see how the initial sales of the PS3 console are doing before they spend that much money on a game the requires Blu Ray and that level of graphical detail.

Intel would have a hit squad sent off to deal with production execs if one merely cracked a joke about 70 per cent yields, and I can't see how 40 per cent will ever make the PS3 economically viable.

Once this gets out, look for a triumphant Sony exec to tell us about how it may be slow and de-featured, but the PS3 will be reassuringly expensive, and profits are for lesser companies. Besides, we mere mortals just don't get what Sony is trying to gift us with, DRM infected lock in.

Me, I am still trying to justify a 360 at half the price, available now.
