Wat up Gatters...I just wanted to talk to everyone about something......(or and before you guys critize and stuff...this is not spam and no one HAS to reply to this...this is just something that I should bring up)

Anyways...Last Tuesday...the 13th of June...I was almost killed in a van accident at sealots and the feeling of death and pain is very...well for lack of a better term....f***ed..

I was afraid because I didn't get a chance to change my outlook on things, also I didn't get a chance to make amends for all the crap that I did. Basically I was in a mess. However, maybe it was faith, maybe it was luck or karma....definetely it was God's doing though no doubt...I lived.

I live to see my girlfriend, my family and my close friends. I also got to see myself for the first time and realize what was missing and right now I'm currently fixing things (heh nobody's perfect)

The point to this is....If you ever get a sign, or vision or a second chance to live, don't take it for granted. Maybe it isn't your time and you know...you're here on this planet for a purpose...but never forget those who support and love you...and most definetely don't forget "the man upstairs" (God ....duh)

Anyway I spoke enough...just try to enjoy life and don't take it for granted...if you reach a point where s*** really hits the fan just    ..."insert a token and try again" you know what I mean...just don't give up so easily. I've walked that depressing road and I almost lost everything....from my relationship with God and my loved ones...to my life.

.....You know, simplely as walking down the road, a car could run you over, lightning could strike you, hell the ground under your feet could open up beneath you and swallow you!

Either way, there is a chance of you dieing at any moment, the building your sitting in RIGHT NOW could colapse on y ou.....then what?

All I'm saying is t hat, it shouldnt take a 'near-death experience' to change your view on life, cause in truth and in fact life is alot more fragile than that.

but it takes a near death experience to truly bring the point home.

As humans, many of us need to burn to learn.

Just hearing about it or reading it in a book is not enough to teach some of us the hard lessons in life.

I'm glad flip is still here with us to share his experience. He sounds the better for it.

A few other GATTers were not so lucky to tell the tale of their accidents and make a change.

Yeah thank God you're ok. I believe that nothing happens before its time and the face that you were not fatally injured means that it wasnt your time yet. I have never been in a life and death situation as yet but i hope im prepared if/when it does happen.

as baego said, sometimes it takes these things to put the gift of life into perspective

the simple truth is that we all here for a infinitesmally small amount of time, in the grand scheme of things

u dont need this stuff to get a reality check but bleev me its a jump kick to the face if it happens.
just last year was travelling hom from chagaunas taxi skid on the road and drive into the drain on the side no one was hurt or anything but wow :S shocker indeed
changing your life and easing stuff correcting flaws is a tough thing some ppl never do it some ppl never are able to finish but its always good that you start genuinely

I had a few near misses a while back... I also had somewhat of a change of heart and appreciated this simplest of things, at least for a while, eventually the feeling will wear off and you'll return to a normal overall feeling. Thing I believe is important though is to keep with you the level of appreciation, understanding, patience and love that come with these kinds of experiences and as you've obviously already started, pass it along to as many ppl as you can.
