LMAO @ AIDS irony.... INDEED EH... and as for Sax I have a few things to say. If you're on the 'friend ladder' longing to be on the real ladder, thats your business, but as a man say, jump off and climb a real one. You are allowing yourself to be on the friend ladder and perhaps trying to jump is just not a good idea, unless its OFF. You have the power to do that if you wish. On the other hand if you're kicked off the real ladder onto what they consider their friend ladder thats different cause chances are you just want to jump off altogether, sux part comes when you genuinely care for the person as a friend also and in the least if anything were needed you'd want to be there for them. Then you're stuck with wanting to jump off altogether but unfortunately caring enough to be on the friend ladder against your own wants.
Now this is different from being on the friend ladder FIRST and feeling like a mofo cause you on it. In the situation I describe, you know what it was like to be on the real ladder and now you're being asked to be on the friend ladder. If it's something a situation like that has taught me is that it really is harder to have had the world and lost it all, than to never have had it at all, I used to think otherwise, however it's pretty much become rule now. FCUK ppl who say better to have had and lost than to never have had at all.

On a side note, Crixx boy, in light of that you're right. Sasuke has it harder and he should get more props for it LMAO...
*W1nTry goes off to add line to the TOo much Narut thread: Yuh know when you too into Naruto when life experiences make yuh see Sasuke situation as being harder than Naruto and yuh want to flip out and hit someone a Mangekyou Sharingan*!!!!!

How can it happen?  To marry to the wrong ladder?  Lengthy internet romance, short courtship, different countries, hot chick, impulsive decision....BAM!  And I'm not sure whether or not she knew for herself what ladder I was on.  I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt....I guess, it MAY be possible to make the jump from friend ladder to good ladder climb a rung or two and THEN fall into the Abyss..realize where you are, climb out, and back up ONE of the ladders...only to find out the rung you latched on to, was the friend ladder......
I'd believe u if you were right.

There is actually no irony in my user name. I fall into the biker dude category. It's the element of danger inherant in my username that I use to my advantage nowadays.

I take some time to carefully sift thru your words Win, and chakura for your position...

I feel you there... I have yet to experiene being demoted from (near the top of) a woman real ladder to her freind ladder, but I guess I will have to experience it to fully comprehend you.

as I heard once, "experience is the best teacher" .. but life real effed up indeed....

ok.. lemme take things in a different direction... what have yor done to get on (or try to get on) a woman's real ladder? say someone you just meet..
How does a dude deal with the "kiss of death?" wuz de best wasy to handle them isshy lines?

me if i get the "kiss of death", i'd just smile and say, you REALLY mean that? If she sayyes, either tell it was nice knowing you and go me way or do like a pardner of mine:

after a girl tell  hime she want them to be freinds, he confirm if thas what she wanted. after that whenever he see her is greeting like though is yuh breadren, bounce and gansta hail: "wuz de scene dog?"
God is dead.

I doh see why not if she want to be friends best to get all that $#!t out of your mind, and if she start asking why yuh acting so tell her calmly well arent you my friend.
I have a friend like that wanted to bang this girl six ways till sunday and ended up on the friend ladder ( she have $#!ty judgement when it comes to men) but she really was a good friend so when we meet is like Yo Wat DE DILLY YO Every ting good then we go off and lime and she helps me track girls pointing out
great T&A got some good numbers because of her.
Every man should have at least one friend like that.  -_-

Yup life is really effed up sometimes... if I had to quote something (notes: Dodgeball) sometimes life can really make you feel about as useful as a c0ck flavoured lollypop...... it's funny though we eh get no feedback from no *coughs* girls *coughs* on the forum about this? I have a few friends (read: friend ladder females) that would prolly agree with this theory right off the bat but they not big on the internet. And I agree with Qloxx (as is evident from my last remark) that you need to have just plain friend ladder female friends, if for no other reason than to help you find a real ladder friend sometimes or just to give you INSIGHT into the disparity between ladders. Let's face it fellas, there are points in time (read useless lollypop feelings) that you need to talk to a woman to understand WDF going on, alcohol and liming with de boys whilst will momentarily make yuh feel better, sometimes nothing does really help.

To answer your other questions about what to do with those isshy moments, well I think the walk away approach is fine, plenty fish in the sea right? and well there is the 'one of de boys' approaches too. Both are quite good I agree qloxx and yuh never know, sometimes over time they does start to realise they put yuh on de wrong ladder. Then yuh could take the chance, or yuh could dish out some of the same you gots. All up to you.
