Issue with Dynamic Disk

I have a 200GB HDD (Western Digital :/ ), that was set up as a Dynamic Disk. It was working fine until a little while ago, when I just formatted and reinstalled Windows XP Professional on my system, on a 40 GB HD. Now, the disk is recognised as being present, but the status of the drive was "Unreadable". Has anyone ever gotten this problem after a system format, and if there may be any way to get the system to read the disk's contents again?

Also in the meantime, I can say I officially hate the MSI K8T Neo-V motherboard, the design of the board leaves A LOT to be desired....

run compmgmt.msc
under the storage branch, click  Disk Management

Do you see the drive there? If you right click on it what options are presented? initialize? reactivate?

Already checked Disk Management, that's where I got the "Unreadable" status from in the 1st place.

try a knoppix cd to at least try and rescue your info?

I managed to get the drive back and completely readable, thanks to a slew of patches and edits to various files, but at least it's working now...

It need sservice pack 2

I just blew my install trying to get XGL with suse. Need sp2 to access more than 127GB drives.

Actually it's working on SP1 right now...
