The Da Vinci Code
Let me just say....one thing dissapointing......this movie was not as bad as the disastrous X-Men 3 (which I recently deducted some marks) but unfortunately it still sucks ass.
I expected something exciting and engrossing and I got a literal boring ass mystery tale which in some cases made absolutely no godammned sense...it was a good attempt though...I mean, an old guy gets assassinated but not before leaving clues which will literally f*** up people's beliefs as well as their faith..so there was a good start...however the excitement level started to drop and for a mystery movie...the detectives were complete numbskulls...it's f***ing amazing!
I'll give the cast some credit...especially Paul Bettany who gave a truly breathtaking performance (notably the scene when he was "portraying" Christ's torture) but other than that there's no more kudos to be given...this is absolutely not a "summer movie" and to be honest not a perfect movie either...pressura!

Rated PG-13 for disturbing images, violence, some nudity, thematic material, brief drug references and sexual content.

I honestly thought this movie would have literally "sunk"...possibly thanks to the box office reviews...pompous critics and my stupid friend from America, who claimed that the movie sucked...
f*** them all..This movie seriously soars and thanks to the direction of Wolfgang Petersen (director of The Perfect Storm, Air Force One, Troy etc.) this movie was a suspenful thrill ride from beginning to the end. Yes..it may seem like "yet another remake" but you know what....it stood out on it's own. The story, editing and musical score was engrossing...but the real credit goes to the special effect wizards..the destruction and visual choas displayed on screen was absolutely vivid and frightfully intense...in fact due to the nature of deaths on screen I was convinced that I was watching an R- Rated movie..Otherwise though this movie was really tight and it laughs in the face of "X-Men 3" and "Da Vinci Code" which made more stash.
But anyhoo. A highly notable movie and highly recommended.
