end of line for Gameboy .. DS to continue

It may have occupied the sweaty palms of nearly 200 million more people than the Nintendo DS, but it seems the Game Boy family has finally reached the end of the lineage.

Speaking in an interview with news agency Reuters today, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata said: "I would have a second thought about using our resources on what would be the next generation of Game Boy Advance, considering the strong support DS is now enjoying."

i remember they thought they were makin such a gamble with the DS, that they did not want to sully the GameBoy's reputation by puttin their name on that device..

You really think that it would have no more pokemon? Seriously, tahts one of nintendo's bigest franchise!

Just like before, there would be two games released at the same time under different names (but pretty much the same game).

Diamond and Pearl, the 4th generation of Pokemon, yes thats right, brand new pokemon!

Lucas Arts and Activision are still making GBA games. Lego Star Wars and Marvel Ultimate ALiance comming on all platforms. Including the Wii

yeh.. i figure games will still come for a while..a 2-3 years, or so...

 cah forget that the installed base is pretty large, so it would still be lucrative for developers to churn out a couple titles every so often

Glad to know GBA finally dyin out i love my DS  I still waitin on legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass which looks awsome
