i saw this movie a while now, it kinda strange how at some point a girl told me that she heard about the movie, we both dled it and watched it, then all of a sudden threads on this movie start popping up on all the forum sites i'm on....

Very nice adaptation of the series (which I've also seen).  I don't agree with the 'Power Rangers' comment however (might you have possibly been high?)

the girl actually watched the anime so she should've expected that, my bro on hte other hand never sat down to watch the anime so i kinda expected that from him

DO they know about Chinese and Japanese folklore? That in the old days stories became legends out of extrapolation. "i went down the road and i see this big snake and kill it" would end up being "he used Hitten Mitsurugi to defeat the demon snake with 20 heads". It was also believed that warriors reached a plane above that of normal people. Where the laws of gravity, physics etc etc no longer governed them, hence all the flying around stuff. THis was mentioned in Crouching TIger
