TV card problems

I'm having a problem with my TV card..
I inserted a cord in the back, basically the same white cord used to acquire cable tv..but whenever I switch on the TV card the channels looks a bit scrambled. I know use a cable scrambler or "cable box" but I was wondering is there a program that can be used to unscramble the cable and display it better.

oh and ps...it's a Lifeview TVR card...

I've never found any. I plug my card into the box - gotta use the cablebox remote instead of my card's remote to change channel, and my carc's channel is on 3 only.

this may help - one of the most popular pvr software packages out there

I have that card and I have tried that software too but it doesn't do what you want it to.

I don't believe there is any software descrambler for cable. I have been searching for years now without any luck. The card does show some partially scrambled channels better than the TV does so it may very well be possible.

I did find some tips on making devices that descramble the cable though but they usually involve wire and foil attached to the standard cable wire to displace the noise. I haven't had any measure of success for me to recommend these techniques though but if you want to give it a go let google be your guid and let me know if you have better luck than I did.
