Would you like a strictly Console GL and what would u like to see there?

Yeah peeps, in the wake of most GLs lack of putting much of any emphasis on console systems, I think is time for a big console GL. I'm talking a GL with 10 + TVs and consoles. That would be a sight for sore eyes for all of us hard-core console people. I'd like to know what you think would make a place like this  :mellow:DA BOMB:mellow:. Hopefully someone will see this stuff and pull through?

I'd start by saying that they should monitor the customers and actually tryto understand when scenes happen, sometimes ppl does be moving on some real uncool scenes, like them bad-boy types and Management just flip and dis everbody rather than try to see what went on and who really should get the ban, sometimes dey don care at all. We gamers mostly just on a cool scene come to sweat some game , pull some ole talk and cut some arse I think management should try to monitor their atmosphere and make sure it stays close to ideal.

im in works of helping to bring one down south but 4 tvs and only xboxs a matter of time before it comes official
well also remeber we really dont want any trouble any GATT man would be welcome but you see a bunch of sprangers comin in you must feel uneasy . i got a friend in san fernando ownz a arcade there some men came in and take one of the ps2s out of the tekken 5 machine ..and gone they way O_o things not easy yes. Gamers should know to keep a low and conduct themselves i understand your point and is a good way to monitor the scene.

it's a cool idea.

We have been trying from early on this year to increase the console presence at GLs.

Infact, the new HQ opened with 4 consoles and 4 TVs, joystick setups, the works.

We see about 10% console usage compared to much higher figures on the PCs.

The majority of the console gamers are kids from school. Other members only use 'em to pass time while waiting to get on a PC. lol

That's the reality.

I love the console gaming scene, especially the competitive fighting game scene but I'll be the first to confess that it hasn't been a big hit at a GL.

You're hardly offering anything there that a bunch of gamers can't get at a friends house for free.

Why pay?

We still get the crowd for a newly released game, but once that makes the rounds and everyone gets it at home. sweat buss.

They only return for challenges and competitions, which is cool, but not enough to run a business on imo.

There are other GLs like FoxintheBox that run only XBOX systems.

No PCs. Check 'em out.

Note, their strength is Halo not the fighting scene.

Fantasy V were also big on consoles (as was Max with arcade boxes and all). They've both since moved more heavily towards the PC scene so those aren't good examples anymore I guess.

I'll ask Foxinthebox what their experience has been thus far as a console only shop for those of you interested in doing the same.

I talked to the man he does fairly good when hes opened got something in the works there to ..no time to fully organize

"fairly good" and "when he is open" is way too subjective.

Is that good enough to pay the rent?

recover the cost of the consoles/tvs?

Pay himself a decent salary?

Remember, if it does not succeed as a business, sweat buss.

not sure man havent really gotten into deep convo with him you should talk  to him and see the statistics xbox emporium down here is doing good though
