Award-Winning Battlefield 2 for the PC Expands to Include Covert Ops

Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS - News) and Digital Illusions today announced that development is underway on the expansion pack for the award-winning Battlefield 2(TM) PC game. Powered by the Battlefield 2 game engine, Battlefield 2: Special Forces(TM) brings the intensity and excitement of its predecessors into the realm of covert ops with the latest, most technologically advanced vehicles and weapons systems available to man.

In Battlefield 2: Special Forces, players will choose to fight as one of 6 different Special Forces soldiers -- Navy SEALs, British SAS, Russian Spetznas, MEC Special Forces, Rebel groups and insurgents. Armed with the latest Special Forces weaponry, players can take control of any of the game's 10 new vehicles to engage in major conflicts with up to 64 players. In addition to 12 new weapons, soldiers will get some new gadgets that should make life on foot a little more interesting. First up was the zipline, shot from a high location with a crossbow, allowing players to slide horizontally from one place to another. (Worth noting: more than one player can use the zipline once it's in place, so a squad can take advantage of the zipline together.) Also new is the grappling hook, which essentially acts as an instant ladder: anywhere you can hook it, you can climb up or down, and so can your teammates (or enemies, for that matter, if you forget to pick it up).

 
  What i REALLY want is shoulder launched stinger missles to 0WN apache hoars  . Also snipers need more zoom and infra red scope etc. and maybe a day/ night cycle  and/or weather added optionally on some of the maps  , attacks on enemy bases would be more ideal at night or during low visibility as the ATTACKER knows to spray in a particular direction while the defender will be overwhelmed , there is already a dusty map that demonstrates this .

but bf2 is diff and they bought ubi soft .... so i got no choicebut to hope for thebest
cometh the expansion i just bought the original like a week now and this wow they movin quick but who complaining
