The 1GB of RAM seems overkill ,the multiplayer beta never to used that much even maxed out.... but people with 512mb + nortan antivirus + a pile of spyware will have lots of trouble , but a well kept system with 512mb should play it ... good.
The game will eat cpu and graphics chips for breakfast , damn realistic physics and great graphics rivalling doom III and half life II , basically Doom III level shadowing and lighting with half life 2 level pixel shader effects , textures didn't look to hot in the beta , but comparable to Doom III/Farcry still... and it was a beta .
