Now I know I could bring up things like arthritis or other joint related medical problems that are associated with prolonged use of a keyboard, or maybe eye disorders caused by staring at a screen too long. I can even go as far as saying that if u frag the wrong person in a LAN party they might kill you for it (at least in the US or asia or something so). Then there was the whole parents leaving their child home to play WOW and the baby died. But this time I have a really out of the way article about hazardous gaming, have a look see:
Lightning strikes through Video Game
Shocked teen in hospital
By Nick Farrell: Friday 01 July 2005, 08:05
A 14 year old boy who was playing his video game inside during a thunderstorm is in a satisfactory condition in a Middleton hospital after being struck by lightning.
According to Bostonchannel.com, the unnamed game gear was plugged into the telly. The lightning travelled through the television set and into the video game controller the boy was holding.
The boy is apparently a bit disorientated. After all it was not the sort of Voom he was expecting from an video game, but he is expected to recover.
We wonder if he will ever pick up an electronic gadget again after such shock therapy. Still lightning never strikes twice does it?
