http://archive.gamespy.com/landing/kotor2/ KOTOR II apparently is just as good, even better , than the original , but it also apparently suffers from WORSE bugs ........... damned xbox ports ...
Still probably worth the money though, and the bugs may be fixed eventually ......

nah, i fine it was good, the last one was....lacking, this one is alot better cause you can like influence your whole party to go to the dark side, let them be comsumed by the evil also. and you get a whole set more kick ass powers!

I hear the load times would kill the dead in their graves. But hey thats not a problem the PC had and I doh expect it will be one now. I personally will get that game.

I've put in a few hours well on this one and have found 0 bugs so far...quite stable for me.

Loading times aren't long at all imo...

And yes, it is cool that you can influence your entire party a bit...

tried it a bit. gotta agree with Czar there. 0 bugs so far. game looks and feels a lot like the original kotr. nuthing too new (which is a good and bad thing) i found the graphics got a thrashing from several sites, which i find unfortunate cause the game looks awesome. (pc version mind you)

will play more for a better judgement.

There are tons of minor bugs in the game,mostly graphical.It's rather obvious,as was said before,that this game was rushed out so as to avoid Jade.I was shocked when I heard it was getting a 2004 release(xbox).

The game itself boasts many improvements over the original,mostly in terms of the customization of weapons.However the game is broken in many ways:
1)Unbalanced force powers.Force Storm is all you need.EVER.It was a above average power in KOTOR but now it's gone into the realm of godhood.Very BAD.
2)The influence system is very much against dark jedi.You can't influence darkly through conversation.While a jedi should be able to influence through friendship the other side of the coin should allow a sith to influence through domination.
3)The cast isn't nearly as likable as before.HK as usual is great but none of the new members can stack.Even Mandalore isn't as likable as he was in KOTOR.
4)The story is ridiculous.The villains are more of a hovering menace as opposed to the direct threat that they ought to be.The canon side of the coin is also as messed up as ever.

Overall it's like watching ESB,then watching TPM.
This isn't the next big RPG,that'll be Jade.

Hmmm figured I'd be getting this one soon, but from the sound of it I might be better off waiting until they have all the patches out.

Dread, I just beat this game for the first time (light side naturally) and all I have to saw is OMFG this game totally pwnz. Its in the least as good as the first, in fact i'd go as far as saying the extra dialog and the quality of the dialog is superior to the first. I wish it was a lil longer though. (Even if it did take me close to 40hrs to finish it, and I WILL be playing it over as a sith next). This game gets 2 thumbs and 2 big toes up dread! A MUST HAVE.

lol@ 2 thumbs and toes ...well i just got started in this ( xbox version) so far i am liking it ...only put about 3 hrs into it so far ......but i will when i first put it on i kinda didn't like it so much (the first 1hr or so) ...but after it start to get real good ......

I just read a review on jade empire... yet another must have as soon as its available on the PC (provided it isn't already, I didn't gather it was ported from the xbox yet from the review on gamespy).

It hasn't been ported to PC,it hasn't been announced for PC and there are currently no plans to port it to PC.

That link you gave there is for KOTOR II genius...they're talking about Jade Empire in those last couple posts...

Unfortunately, they've yet to announce any plans to port it to the PC...

We can always hope...

Fable is just more of the same from Peter.Promises much,delivers little.Just like B&W.
