Now DSL is finally looking a bit more attractive... I am willing to spend money if I can consistently get 33KBps. I have heard not all ppl have receieved the upgrade (this I know for a fact) so I have to hope that a new user would get the upgraded bandwidth. (yeah like its so hard for them to throttle the line).

Nah man. If you were an existing customer with the 128k account, it was automatically upgraded to the 256k account (resedential only) from the 20th of January 2005.

Online gaming and filesharing (downloading) was never THIS good!!!

Download speed on files are better... but the pings to servers online are still the same? As in no difference from 128k at all. Please tell me this doesn't have anything to do with distance.

distance does matter
If the server is located in tnt it will be much faster compared to canada or somethin
eg the local wc server
