It seems to be very common among adsl users. Trademark is sign-off/-sign-in
of MSN Messenger. It's worse on some days than others.

Really wish someone from TSTT would explain why that happens.

And I use an Alcatel Speedtouch to the phone line, so no real difference
there.

hey folks,

ever since I got tstt adsl, I experienced timeouts in set time intervals
of approx. 10 mins.
the connection would be stable and working at full capacity, then
suddenly timeout for a couple
seconds and pick up speed again.

I made a screenshot of the connection statistics in emule.
http://www.rosemedia.com/emule_spikes.gif

is that a normal occurance with tstt or might it be caused by bad
wiring, handset interference (shouldn't be) etc. ?

I'm using the speedstream router and have it hooked up to a linksys wrt54g.

Yow...apparently that is common to that very Modem/Router the Alcatel Speed
Touch.
I have the 3Com612 OfficeConnect and that does not happen at all..everything
stays on for as longs as the network up and as long as the DSL service is
up.

That 3com router is real mess. Anyway, I have the speedtouch @ work and I
notice that as well, though I won't say it was a regular interval.
