Hear what. HardOCP.com talk about this yesterday. It's a known bug.
http://www.hardocp.com/Uninstall Far Cry (make sure yuh have yuh serial number) and reinstall the application. Then install the 1.2 patch.

Most people are reporting the game crashing to desktop when playing single or multi player games. As you know, this morning UbiSoft said they were aware of the issue and were working on identifying the problem. I just got off the phone with UbiSoft again at which time they told me that I should uninstall the game completely and then reinstall it to make the problem go away. So those of you who are having issues, try this out and then let me know if it works...I can't imagine how this would help, but give it a try.
One word of advice, BEFORE you uninstall the game, make sure you have your owners manual and CD Key handy. Don’t be like me and uninstall the game only to find out that you have lost the owners manual (CD Key). I now have to take a picture of my game and then send it to UbiSoft with $10 to get a new CD Key. Go ahead, have a laugh at my expense."
