anyone saw the add in the express of " the ultimate gaming machine " ? 10 000 for a FX5200 and a non hyperthreading 2.6 GHZ.. MY pc ownz that for games.... the 11000 radeon 9000 PC is faster.... man dell is hiring alot of idiots to do their adds .
 Well at least one good thing comes out of it... i can still boast that my PC is better than the rich kids who get nu pc's every 3 months....

Yeah... my nieghbour bought a PC for $15,000 de other day to run games... it had a FX5200 in it...MC!!!!

As far as I know there is only on local PC company that actually knows how to build a gaming PC....

Dell ein't hiring no one.
Local distributors aare advertising,and to THEM a 5200 is probably heaven.
There prices are largly exorbitant.
Eg:I bought my Pc about 8 months ago for 7000.
THe LOCAL ppl were selling the same thing(without spker upgrade) for 11,000 with just a scanner and printer(total cost to acquire that is 800TT)

dat real bus, my dream pc list comes up to 8800 [ if the us dollar is 6.3 tt]  and it has a radeon 9800 pro 128, 3 big fans , xpensive mobo, 1gb ram etc. why would i buy the crap in the papers when all i can sabe 1000 and get much better parts? ah just send a letter to de editor wit attached benchmarks telling dem to change it from "ultimate" to "budget " and sell it real cheap .

They cater for n00bs that they can fool...
But dell's service and support isn't something to take lightly.
Let me put it this way:
Mouse died at 3:30pm on a tuesday evening.
I called DELL
@ 10:30am next day the techie came and replaced it.

Same thing for modem(more or less).

But personally,the next computer i'm getting is gonna be custom built.
I go start saving from now yes:)
By the time i done gaming rigs go be around 3000 to build:D

That's right...numerous times I've complained to Dell America about the "local distributor's" misleading advertising...not to mention BorderCom and their absolutley pathetic "Breads, yuh gettin a Dell"...how shameless.
